Would the Pats let Randy Moss go and trade for Ocho Cinco?

sounds dueable. How about Ocho Cinco goes to Philly for Lito Sheppard and Trent Cole Cincy could use the defense

Duh! He wants out and the Pats have the players and or picks, to send for him. They have the #7 pick and those guys aren't cheap, that draft pick will probably end up costing them more money than Johnson, anywhere from 15-20 million guanteed, LaRon Landry got a five-year $41.5 million contract that includes $17.5 million guaranteed last year, this year's pick will get about 10% more than that. Lots of jack for a guy who hasn't busted a nut in the NFL yet.
Think Johnson would take that money or less to go to a winner?

No chance Chad Johnson fits in with the Pats ideals. If you look at the team everyone handles thier business like it is a busniness. Chad Johnson is a loud mouthed cry baby. With all the weapons on the Pats Johnson would cry because he is not getting the ball. You see him and Carson getting into it all the time on the sideline. He is an amazing reciever but he is a cancer and would tear that team apart.

A lot of the same things were said about Moss before he got to NE. Moss also had off the field troubles too and Johnson hasn't. I think Johnson would do okay there but I don't think the Bengals would trade him, the result would be a pr nightmare unless the Bengals started winning big.

I don't think Randy can be compared to Moss in that way. Randy got a bad rep from some things he said in Minnesota one year. After that he was looked at as all about me. Chad is just flamboyant, and likes the attention A LOT! Which is fine, because I think it is funny, but I don't think all his celebration dances and fines would go over with Belichek at all.

I'm so sick of these ridiculous Chad Johnson rumors.

My problems with all the above statements:
1) No way in hell would you get him for cheap. The man has lead the NFL in receiving 2 out of the last 3 seasons and is always in the top 5 the other years. Randy Moss had become a worthless stump in Oakland and Al Davis is a doddering old fool. Chad Johnson is the face of the Cincinnati franchise and would never be given up for anything cheap. Not to mention how stupid the idea of disassembling any part of an undefeated team is.... thats just plain dumb. Moss will be in a pats uni next year
2)Hey Philly fans... you ever see Chad cry when Carson doesn't throw him a picture perfect ball? Ya I'd like to see how long that honeymoon would last with D-McNabb when McNabb is throwing lame ducks because he's running everywhere to avoid all the guys that crap O-Line of his let through. Don't get me wrong I like McNabb, but Carson is a better quarterback for a receiver of Johnson's caliber.
3) Chad is not a "cancer" and the Bengals have never ever called him that. Chad is a phenomenal competitor who is simply upset that his team has gone from contender to pretender because of all the other thugs and wanna-be's they have drafted. Mark my words, if the Bengals make the playoffs this year, you won't hear a peep from Chad Johnson about being traded.

He's just not going anywhere people. He has one of the most un-tradabale contracts in the NFL and his coach has come forward numerous times to say he wouldn't be traded. By the way that coach is the guy who controls if he gets traded or not as he controls all the player moves.

I didn't hear anyone ringing the trade bells when Carson Palmer walked out of his last interview of the season after saying "Changes had better come."

I love rumors and all.... but this one simply should have died a month ago... maybe even longer.

Chad is talking Miami for one reason. Parcells. This stuff exactly like what TO went through to get out SF. Any team serious about winning should be happy to bring in ocho cinco. Stud reciever dying to win. Only reason Pats stay away is that they have moss now so why mess with that. philly, seattle, san diego all would die for a receiver like johnson. will be the story of the offseason

The pats would not get rid of moss who has just got a record 23 toucdown catches stat wise he can match and do more than chad there would be no reason for the pats to do this chad would not make the team bettter but the same if not a little worse
