Sportsday:
WR Willie Reid's roster chances were slim to none anyway. Slim might have left the building the second he muffed that punt to give the Raiders the ball at the Dallas 11.
The fourth quarter has been about what one should expect out of preseason opener garbage time, which is another way to say painful to watch.

Cowboys only have one young tackle worth watching
Hudson Houck sounds optimistic about his two young offensive tackles.
"We want to see if what we have been working on in camp translates into a game environment," Houck said in David Moore's column about the depth (or lack thereof) of the offensive line.

Wade Phillips brings the blitz
The Raiders might not have expected Wade Phillips to bust out the elaborate blitz packages in a preseason game, unless they recalled the Broncos whining about that a couple of years ago.

Second-tier cornerbacks continue to struggle
There's a steep drop-off after Orlando Scandrick on the Cowboys' cornerback depth chart.
That's been obvious from watching training camp. Tonight simply reinforces it.
Example A: Hands to face penalty against Mike Mickens to extend the drive after a third-down incompletion. Example B: Courtney Brown giving up a 21-yard gain to Louis Murphy the next play.
