The Seattle Seahawks shocked many when they took Texas A&M running back Christine Michael in the second round of the 2013 NFL draft. Last season at Texas A&M, Michael’s rushing production took a hit but that was because of a man named Johnny Football. Usually a running back picked in the first two rounds is expected to start but obviously the Seahawks were set with Beast Mode on the team. During the preseason, Michael proved he could handle the speed of the NFL by putting up five yards a carry. On Sunday, Michael was finally activated and got to see the field for the first time as a professional athlete. It took all of one carry for Seahawks fans to fall in love with Michael’s explosiveness. It seemed like Michael was burst out of a cannon as he blasted through the line of scrimmage for an 11 yard run. Although there were a few plays that Michael was stuffed for no gain or a loss of yards, Michael should be proud of his performance. There were three plays in particular where Michael looked like a future start in this league. Michael had explosive 7 and 9 yard runs in which he looked like he would break a long run. Even when Michael was stuffed, he kept moving his legs to get as much yardage as possible. It will take Michael time to become a consistent back which makes his situation in Seattle so perfect for him. Don’t be surprised if Michael is getting the rock more as the season progresses, especially because of Marshawn Lynch’s running style. For now, Michael is the perfect complement to Beast Mode. However, it looks like Michael has all the tools to become the starting running back for the Seattle Seahawks in the future.

Russell Wilson says his sister is a better athlete than him

Russell Wilson burst on to the NFL scene his rookie season due in part to his phenomenal athletic ability, but believe it or not he says he isn’t even the most athletic person in his family. Believe it or not he gives that title to his 15 year sister Anna. “It’s one of those things where you’re around someone you know is going to be special,” Russell told ESPN earlier this...

WSC Week 3 Power Rankings: Seattle Seahawks rule the roost

Proctologistics With three weeks of the NFL regular season in the books, the one thing that is clear is that nothing is clear. This week was nothing if not entertaining. We had quarterbacks kicking footballs and punters throwing touchdowns. I’ve been having seizures since seeing Tom Brady’s plaid blazer in his postgame presser, so forgive […]The post WSC Week 3 Power Rankings...

Seahawks player profile: The “Slot” receiver…Doug Baldwin

Heeeee’s Back! Little known, Doug Baldwin, is certainly raising eyebrows once again.  Baldwin, who arrived in Seattle in 2011 as an undrafted free agent is starting the 2013 season off absolutely on fire. Success has not been a stranger to Doug, however.  If you’ll remember in his rookie year, Baldwin came into the league undrafted out of Standford and a virtual unknown to...

Clemons back, ready to contribute for Seattle

The workout took place at the Seattle Seahawks' facility and was the same type of testing any would-be free agent looking to join the club would go through. Yet, this wasn't a free agent being examined. It was Chris Clemons undergoing scrutiny to see if the Seahawks' sack leader for the last three seasons would be ready to return from a torn ACL in his left knee early...

Seahawks MMQB: Seattle avoids the trap

Seahawks beat Jaguars 45-17 The score seems like a pretty decisive victory but to be honest the game was not even that close.  After jumping out to a two touchdown lead by early in the second quarter the Seahawks played a fairly vanilla game, both offensively and defensively.
