The game on Sunday gave me gray hair. At 24 years old, I was pulling them out, one by one. Although seeing the Dallas Cowboys on our schedule didn’t scare me at first, by the time it came to a Matt Prater field goal as the clock ticked down, I was scared. For those of you who were unfortunate…actually, fortunate (no more new gray hair) to miss it, the Denver Broncos overcame a couple deficits to beat the Dallas Cowboys 51-48. Danny Trevathan celebrates his interception against the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday (Photo Credit: Denver Broncos/AP) “I thought this was probably our best character victory as far as coming from behind,” Head Coach John Fox said. It’s tough to win in this league on the road. Very tough. We’ve gotten to 2-0 on the road and we count our blessings.” Peyton Manning threw his first interception of the season, also marking the first interception out of 244 throws. Manning passed Dan Marino for the second-most passing yards in NFL history, finishing the day 33-of-42 for 414 yards, he now has 61,371 in his career, according to denverbroncos.com Though a win is still a win, it was the team’s closest victory of the season and snapped a 15-game streak of wins by seven or more points. We all remember linebacker Danny Trevathan, who had an interception the first game of the year, but was so excited, he dropped the ball right before the goal line to start celebrating…well, he got his second chance last night, picking off Tony Romo. “I was baiting him but I saw (Derek) Wolfe rushing him and put his hands up. Romo threw it and I felt like, man, it’s that time. Hopefully I don’t drop the ball when I get in the end zone this time. But you know I fell to the ground, so forget it.” There is only one more game to play until we get defensive tackle Von Miller back, pending that he doesn’t get into anymore trouble. The Broncos play the Jacksonville Jaguars at Sports Authority field this Sunday, kickoff is at 2:05 MDT.
