The New England Patriots will be without Aaron Hernandez for their Week 8 match up against the St. Louis Rams. Hernandez did not make the trip to London for the game after his injured ankle failed to respond to treatment this week.
Hernandez played the past two weeks. In those two games Hernandez caught 11 passes for 84 yards and a touchdown.
Being ruled out for Sunday’s game against the Rams means that Hernandez will get two full weeks to rest up for his next appearance. The Patriots have a bye for Week 9 and then play Buffalo on Nov. 11 at home.
In addition to Hernandez the Patriots will also be without backup running back Brandon Bolden and safety Patrick Chung.
