Aaron Schobel has made his decision: He's retiring from football. The former Bills linebacker called it a career Monday and will officially file when he receives the retirement papers from his agent.
Schobel told BuffaloBills.com one of the main concerns about coming back was his family, with all three children attending school.
“They’re glad they’re staying at home (in Texas)," Schobel said of his children. "They didn’t want to be moving around.”
Schobel retires with 78 sacks accumulated during his nine-year career with Buffalo, second behind Hall of Famer Bruce Smith. He also recorded 333 solo tackles (assisting in 150 others) along with 19 forced fumbles.
