Let me describe a draft class: nine total picks, but only one in the first three rounds -- a first-round selection. Of those nine players, only the first-rounder finished that first season with the drafting team.
Of the other eight, three wound up on Injured Reserve. Another made the roster to start the season but was released outright in November. Four were released following training camp; one of those four was immediately picked up by the Cowboys, where he contributed on special teams. Another of those four was added to the practice squad only to be released later in September, and he and the other two cuts have bounced around the league (contributing to various degrees) ever since.
Oh, and the team also traded away a fourth-round draft choice for a thirty year-old wide receiver that year.
This draft, you would have to say, is pretty much a disaster. You might assume that it was conducted under the auspices of a general manager who was a questionable judge of talent, and...
