The Denver Broncos and Oakland Raiders will face off tonight on Monday Night Football. The Broncos are heavily favored to win, winning over 80 percent of the 10,000 AccuScore simulated games. The Raiders (1-1) have had an above average start to the season, shocking a few critics who felt they’d be the worst team in the league. We can all now agree that award goes to the Jaguars.   While the Raiders lost both the matchups last season, neither was a blow out. Oakland’s defense is familiar with that of the Broncos, so there’s definitely plenty of hope that the game stays interesting through all four quarters. The average score in the simulations was 32-21, with Oakland covering the +14 spread in approximately 55 percent of the simulated games. Oakland’s only hope at even coming close to win tonight will lie in their offense’s ability to stay on the field, keeping Broncos QB Peyton Manning on the sideline. Broncos RB's played rock, paper, scissors for goal line carry

The Denver Broncos running back trio used a game of rock-paper-scissors to decide who got to score against the Raiders (Credit: USA Today) Last night’s Monday Night Football game was nothing short of an embarrassment for the Oakland Raiders. Not only did they lose 37-21, but Peyton Manning and the Broncos offense drove down the field at ease in the first half. Manning ended the...

Denver Broncos and the Oakland Raiders; a 53-year rivalry

Monday night games always throw me off. My lucky Champ Bailey jersey stares at me through the holes in my laundry basket, begging to be worn…or washed, as we both wait impatiently for Monday night. Not only is it a Monday night game, but the Denver Broncos’ first divisional game as they meet the Oakland Raiders for a record 17th time on Monday night football at Sports Authority...

Demaryius Thomas to the Raiders: “Ha ha, you suck” (Video)

After their scoring their final touchdown of tonight’s loss to the Broncos,  the Raiders attempted an onside kick, which of course failed. Denver receiver Demaryius Thomas recovered the kick and then said, ” Ha ha, you suck.” It certainly seems like he was talking to the Raiders.   Need NFL Tickets? Loading... Breaking Down Monday Night Football: Raiders Versus Broncos

The undefeated Denver Broncos are playing the 1-1 Oakland Raiders. The game is believed to be very one sided and it is probably another David versus Goliath tale. The Broncos are coming off games versus the Super Bowl Champion Ravens and the New York Giants and in back to back games the Broncos scored 40 plus points in each one. The Oakland Raiders are coming off a close victory...

Terrelle Pryor Impressive In Loss to Denver Broncos

It was always going to be a tough task for inexperienced quarterback Terrelle Pryor to beat the great Peyton Manning in Denver on Monday night football. Although the Oakland Raiders were totally outclassed by the Super Bowl favorite Denver Broncos, Pryor should be proud of his performance. Pryor was once again forced to single handedly move the Raiders offense as Darren McFadden...

Monday Night Football Preview: Raiders vs. Broncos

Tonight on Monday Night Football, the Oakland Raiders will try and slay the giants of Mile High Stadium. Peyton Manning is in vintage form and his connection with Wes Welker seems telekinetic. Terrelle Pryor has been lighting up teams with his legs and sometimes with his arms, a Broncos’ D sans Von Miller means Darren [...]

By the numbers: Oakland Raiders' play-call tendencies through week 2

We’re now two weeks through the regular season, basically an eighth of the season if you can believe it. That means that some of the play-calling tendencies of the Raiders new offensive coordinator are becoming set and can be tracked. Every week, quality control and advanced scouting coaches review tape to see what their opponents like to call so they can game plan accordingly...

Oakland Raiders Unveil Strange New Mascot

No, seriously, what the hell is that thing? Well, according to Darren Rovell, this, uh, thing, is called the Raider Rusher. If you ask us, it looks like the Raiders consulted whoever is in charge of those always-dopey Olympic mascots, and just ran with one of their dumb suggestions. Anyway, regardless of who is to blame for this decision, somewhere, Al Davis is definitely rollin’...

Rookie Watch: DJ Hayden Struggles Mightily vs. Broncos Passing Attack

In today’s NFL, playing the cornerback position is quite possibly the hardest thing to do as a rookie after the quarterback position. From adjusting to the added NFL speed to keeping up with diverse routes most receivers run to the raised IQ of the quarterbacks, being successful as a defensive back first requires ample seasoning at the pro level. Raiders cornerback DJ Hayden...

Terrelle Pryor tweets he ‘doesn’t remember much’ from Broncos loss after head shot

Oakland Raiders quarterback Terrelle Pryor suffered a concussion on Monday night after he took a helmet-to-helmet hit from Denver Broncos linebacker Wesley Woodyard late in the game. Like any other player who suffers a head injury, Pryor’s status for next week’s game is in question. The league may want him to be examined even more […]

MNF Week 3: Send the Raiders Back to LA

From 1960-1981, the Oakland Raiders were a solid team, winning two championships in that span playing in the AFL. In 1982, 12 years after moving from the AFL to the NFL, the team moved to Los Angeles and took home another title in the '82 season. The team remained in L.A. until June 23, 1995 when the late Al Davis signed a letter of intent moving the team back to Oakland. Now...
