Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson was in town to rehab his knee at the team facility while his teammates were going through their workouts together. He saw his teammates doing wind sprints and thought they weren’t running hard enough, so he joined in and passed them four different times.
“He was off to the side working with our trainer, Eric Sugarman, and he looked out and saw the guys doing their wind sprints,” coach Leslie Frazier said on Thursday night, per 1500 ESPN Radio in the Twin Cities.
“He says, ‘You know, I don’t think they’re running hard enough.’ Eric allowed him to go out and run with them, and he passed them four different times. He finished in first four different times.”
Back up quarterback Joe Webb was quite shocked to see how well he was running. Peterson just started running on dry land a month ago and it looks like he’s on track to be ready for week one of the regular season.

Vikings select Matt Kalil, Grade A+
After creating much drama over the past few days, the Vikings end up selecting the guy we assumed they had targeted all along. I was worried about this franchise for awhile there when they were reportedly considering Claiborne, but they made the right choice.
After rolling the dice on Christian Ponder last year, they absolutely had to address the offensive line in this draft (especially...
Frazier desires flexibility in the secondary
Leslie Frazier couldn’t do what he wanted with the secondary last year because of injuries. The addition of a couple veterans, and what he hopes will be a draft pick, should help him implement changes. So, too, should the addition of Harrison Smith.

Vikings Stadium Could Get House, Senate Votes This Weekend
The Minnesota Vikings' quest for a new stadium barely survived its most difficult test Friday, when a key Senate panel narrowly voted to push the project ahead. That sets up what could be a ferocious fight for votes in the full House and Senate. The Senate Taxes Committee voted 7-6 to move the bill ahead, but the Vikings got a vivid preview of how difficult it will be to win...
