FOXBORO, Mass. — Outside of Tim Tebow‘s debut for the Patriots on Tuesday, their first day of minicamp was without any major news. That’s usually a good thing around this time of year.
Last week, during the final OTA session, Jake Ballard, Stevan Ridley and Alfonzo Dennard all got banged up, with Dennard having to be carted off the field with a shoulder injury. There were no injuries on Tuesday and Ballard, Ridley and Dennard were all back on the field.
All three players served in a limited role, but Ballard was out taking passes with the quarterbacks and participating in the offense in Rob Gronkowski‘s absence. Ridley was mostly stretching and working in the practice bubble, while Dennard was just out on the field watching.
Gronkowski, Julian Edelman, Nick McDonald and Marcus Forston were absent from practice and there were five players participating that were not on the roster. There was a running back, wide receiver, offensive lineman, defensive lineman and linebacker on hand for...

Expectations may be decreased for Tim Tebow as he starts Phase III of his career in New England, but that doesn’t mean headline writers in the region won’t have to step up their game.
With Tebow coming to town, tabloids in the Northeast are ready to bust out their best puns. While Tebow isn’t expected to have the media access he had with the Jets, he’ll still be the main...
Tim Tebow will get one more chance in the NFL. After a offseason of questions concerning his future the 25-year-old Tebow was signed by the New England Patriots before minicamp begins on Tuesday.
There had long been rumored a spot in New England with Josh McDaniels serving as the play caller. McDaniels drafted Tebow when he was the head coach of the Denver Broncos.
In order to clear...
New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick isn't ready to give his impressions of Tim Tebow after one practice.
Belichick says he's not getting into a ''minute-by-minute'' evaluation of his new backup quarterback. Tebow practiced for the first time with the Patriots on Tuesday after signing with the team. The Patriots are holding their three-day minicamp that...
FOXBORO, Mass. — Bill Belichick has faced the Tim Tebow circus and he’s handling the new signal caller just like any other player on the Patriots roster.
Belichick was faced with countless Tebow questions and didn’t give out much information. The most he had to say is that Tebow is a “talented player that’s smart and works hard.”
Belichick saw the media conglomerate and...
If anyone thought that the Patriots wouldn't be able to handle Tim Tebow and all the fanfare he brings with him, they clearly underestimated head coach Bill Belichick's dementor-like ability to suck all the happy-go-lucky feelings out of the room.
Case in point, in Belichick's first press conference since the news broke, he fielded countless questions about Tebow...
The immediate reaction to Monday's news of quarterback Tim Tebow signing with the New England Patriots was filled with eye rolls and grand sarcasm on Twitter.
"The circus" was coming to Foxborough.
A cult-like media swarm, one that craves news on all things Tebow in a 24/7 cycle, was destined to shake even the most media-savvy of NFL franchises. "Tebowmania"...
As my day started I opened my browser on my computer to read that The New England Patriots, have signed Tim Tebow to a contract. My first reaction was this is good for both parties, Tim Tebow needed a place to ply his trade, and the Patriots needed another QB to come in and compete for a job.Though the Patriots already had Ryan Mallet and Mike Kafka on their roster as back up QB...
Tom Tebow is reportedly about to sign with the New England Patriots, and because of that the Internet had a minor collective freak out. One of the best things to ‘rise’ to the top was this .GIF of Bill Belichick and Tim Tebow.

Patriots Insiders share six reasons why signing Tim Tebow would be a good/bad thing for New England.
FOXBORO, Mass. — If anyone is worried that Tom Brady will get bogged down by Tebowmania, stop right now.
Brady had the perfect answer when asked if Tim Tebow would cause a distraction in Foxboro: “I don’t worry about much these days.”
“I’ve been around long enough to see all different kinds of things happen like trades, people being cut, guys join the team, all the media...
Donte Stallworth has a simple way of explaining what it's like to be riding in a hot air balloon that clips a power line.
''It felt exactly like the cartoons,'' he said. ''When you see people getting electrocuted on cartoons, that's exactly what it felt like.''
Except that it's not funny. The veteran NFL receiver suffered serious burns...
Well, that was good for a laugh. The fact that the New England Patriots signed former Jets quarterback Tim Tebow opened a new round of (well-deserved) derision at the Jets front office.
The sports media trolls for sound bites of Tebow bitterness, or hints of Patriots strategy, good luck with that one. They are missing the point. Bill Belichick is the...
According to multiple reports, the New England Patriots worked out former Indianapolis Colts wide reciever Austin Collie on Tuesday. This doesn't come as a surprise as the team is still searching for competition for the wide reciever position for training camp next month. Collie, who was a fourth round draft pick by the Colts in 2009 has had an up and down career when it comes...
Wes Welker was not re-signed by the New England Patriots, causing a shockwave around the Boston area but certainly not surprise.
The team's best receiver over the past five years or so, Welker moved from Tom Brady to Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos. He hasn't talked much about it since, but he recently opened up a bit. Much more than he would've if he'd had...
