The last minute of the game between the Indianapolis Colts and Jacksonville Jaguars produced a two game swing in the AFC South standings. Instead of standing alone in second place at 2-1, the Colts are now jammed with the Jags and the Tennessee Titans at 1-2. The Jags were staring an 0-3 start in the face and now have some semblance of hope for 2012 with the victory on Sunday.

The Houston Texans, meanwhile, continue to show their dominance, going into Denver and knocking off Peyton Manning and the Broncos 31-25. The victory moves the Texans to 3-0 and makes them the lone undefeated team left in the AFC.

Heading into Sunday, Gary Kubiak had only beaten a Peyton Manning led team twice in 18 tries and never on the road. Manning and the Broncos mounted a comeback, but the Texans held off the Broncos to stay undefeated.

Matt Schaub was prolific on Sunday, tossing four touchdown passes to four different receivers and amassing 290 yards in the air. Arian Foster rattled off yet another 100 yard performance and the Texans ground game continued to move the chains and control the clock.

The Houston defense surrendered 330 yards and two touchdowns to Manning, but only allowed him to complete 50 per cent of his passes. What's more, the Texans' stout front seven completely stifled Denver's rushing attack, holding them to 2.8 yards per carry.

The Texans will return home on Sunday to take on the Tennessee Titans in an important early AFC South matchup.

The Titans perhaps salvaged their season with a 44-41 overtime win at home against the Detroit Lions. Chris Johnson was once again a non-factor as a rusher, averaging only 1.7 yards on 17 carries. Second year quarterback Jake Locker, however, carried the day with his arm and his legs.

Locker threw for 378 yards and a pair of scores and picked up 35 yards on the ground, 31 of it coming on a key second quarter scramble that set up one of three Rob Bironas field goals.

The Titans led 20-9 at the half and appeared to have the game salted away after returning a Brandon Pettigrew fumble for a touchdown that put them up 41-27 with just over a minute left to play. With Matthew Stafford injured, Detroit backup Shaun Hill came in and directed two touchdown drives in the last minute, including a Hail Mary completion to Titus Young to tie the game at the end of regulation.

Bironas gave the Titans the lead on the first possession of overtime, but under the new rules, Detroit had a chance to match or beat the field goal. The Lions got down to the Tennessee seven yard line and faced a fourth and one. Head coach Jim Schwartz, the former defensive coordinator with Tennessee, sent out his offense on fourth down to try to draw the Titans' defense offside. The Lions center apparently didn't get the message and snapped the ball to an unsuspecting Hill. With no one blocking, Hill was stuffed for no gain and the Titans held on for the three point win.

If Houston knocks off Tennessee next weekend, they'll have a three game lead on the Titans and two AFC South wins. They would have the same advantage over Jacksonville unless the Jags can upset the Cincinnati Bengals at home.

Right now it appears that the Texans will roll to the AFC South title. The only question is whether any other AFC team can catch them for home field advantage.
