Troy Aikman can say that Tony Romo is a better quarterback than he was but that doesn't mean Aikman's former teammates agree. In fact, when asked for his thoughts on the comments Aikman made on Tuesday, former Cowboys safety Darren Woodson jokingly questioned if the Hall of Fame QB had been drinking alcohol at the time he delivered the bold statement. "I didn't hear the comments. One more time," Woodson, who was a guest Thursday on the Ben and Skin Show on 103.3 KESN-FM in Dallas, said while laughing. "What did he say? Was he drinking?" Earlier in the week, Aikman told The Brownsville Herald that Romo "already is a better quarterback than I was." "I know how quarterbacks are judged but as far as his play-making ability and the things that he is capable of doing, he is a far more athletic quarterback, capable of making more plays than I ever was able to," Aikman added. "He has a good team around him, and hopefully, and I believe this will happen, I believe that he will win a Super Bowl before he is done playing." Woodson, who was teammates with Aikman from 1992-2000, praised Romo throughout the interview but didn't come anywhere near admitting the topic was debatable. "I don't know if I'm biased, but I saw the best every day in practice -- and that's Troy Aikman," Woodson said. "I love Tony, trust me. Tony's athleticism is unmatched. I don't think I've seen a quarterback as athletic as Tony Romo. But at the same time, its' more than just that. When you talk about leadership skills, you talk about controlling the huddle, you're talking about being a huge locker room presence, a guy that brought his lunch pail to work every single day, Aikman is probably the most accurate quarterback I've ever seen throw the ball. I throw Troy and Dan Marino in the same class as far as accuracy with the football. But a guy that really understood his role and made people play at a high level around him, they don't get any better than Troy Aikman. I haven't seen it." Woodson added: "Is Romo there yet? No. I think Romo has to win some rings. He has to win some playoff games in order to be in that conversation. Troy must've been drunk."

Marion Barber retires after seven NFL seasons

According to the Chicago Bears official Twitter account, running back Marion Barber has decided to retire after seven NFL seasons. Barber will only be 29 years-old in June, but is clearly on the back side of his career and isn’t really worth much at this point in his career. As productive as Barber was in his career, he never rushed for 1,000 yards in a season. He finished his...

Jerry Jones Seeks to Overturn NFL Cap Fine to Dallas, Washington

Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones disagrees with the NFL’s decision to levy a $10 million cap fine to his team. Now it appears he will seek legal recourse over the matter. The fines (Washington also received a $36 million fine) mean the team must stay beneath the salary cap by that amount, though the penalty can be spread out over two seasons. They were issued because the teams...
