Alfonzo Dennard was found guilty of resisting arrest and assaulting a police officer back in February. The incident happened prior to the draft and was the reason that Dennard slipped down to the seventh round where the Patriots grabbed him. According to the ESPN AFC East blog, Dennard will hear his sentence on Thursday. He faces up to six years in prison. While you can't assume anything, I wouldn't expect Dennard to actually face jail time due to his status as an NFL player. Typical sentencing for his crime ranges from probation to 180 days in jail. However, even if he gets one year that obviously puts the Patriots in a very tough position. Dennard quickly became a starter for the Patriots in his rookie year and, alongside Aqib Talib, they flipped the Patriots secondary from awful to underrated. If Dennard misses any time at all, that might put Kyle Arrington or Devin McCourty back into a starting role. It's unlikely the NFL would suspend Dennard for the incident since it happ...
