Free Agency is almost a week old now and based on reports the 49ers are still looking at cornerbacks and safeties. Here are the moves the 49ers have made so far this offseason.Traded Alex Smith to the Chiefs for a 2013 draft pick and a conditional 2014 draft pick.Traded for Anquan Boldin for a 2013 6th round draft pick.Extended Ian Williams’ contract 2 years.Tendered free agent Tramaine Brock.Signed DT Glenn Dorsey to a 2-year deal.Signed LB Dan Skuta to a 2-year deal.Signed S Craig Dahl to a 3-year deal.The 49ers lost a few of their own free agents.Delanie Walker signed with the Titans.Isaac Sopoaga signed with the Eagles.Ricky Jean-Francois signed with the Colts.Dashon Goldson signed with the Buccaneers.Those are the biggest names of the 49ers on the free agent market and the 49ers really did not focus that much on re-signing them, instead they hit the free agent market and looked for players who would fit their system and come at a reasonable price. According to Aaron WIlson of the Baltimore Sun, Anquan Boldin passed his physical with the San Francisco 49ers, which means he officially no longer a Raven and Baltimore has received a 6th round pick in exchange for him.
The trade was delayed because Boldin was over in Senegal for a relief trip.
The 49ers made out like bandits to only have to give up a 6th round pick for Boldin....
The Anquan Boldin fallout continues to rain. When Boldin was traded from the Baltimore Ravens to the San Francisco 49ers, it was not a popular move in the locker room or in the fan base.
