The Buffalo Bills have made their second major defensive-line signing of the offseason. New England defensive end Mark Anderson on Wednesday signed a free-agent contract with Buffalo, the Bills announced. Sportstars Inc., Anderson's agency, said the deal is for four years. The Bills made a huge splash earlier this month by signing Houston defensive end Mario Williams to a six-year, $100 million contract. The expected addition of Anderson will further bolster Buffalo's pass rush as the team moves to a 4-3 defensive scheme under new defensive coordinator Dave Wannstedt. Anderson, 28, enjoyed a career resurgence in 2011 with the Patriots. Anderson posted his first season with double-digit sacks (10) since his rookie campaign with Chicago in 2005. Anderson was in heavy demand in free agency. Besides the Bills and Patriots, who had interest in re-signing him, Anderson was courted by Tennessee, Baltimore and Jacksonville.
