The Penalty Flag:
Make no mistake about it. For the Philadelphia Eagles and head coach Andy Reid it’s Super Bowl or bust in 2012. At a disappointing 3-3 at their Week 7 bye, Reid has already pressed the panic button firing defensive coordinator Juan Castillo. It was Reid who placed Castillo, the Eagles former offensive line coach, in that position in 2011. It was an odd move that backfired on Reid and the Eagles forcing him to make his first midseason coaching change in 14 seasons. As he should, Reid has admitted responsibility for Castillo’s shortcomings on defense.
“I put Juan in this situation and things didn’t work out the way I had hoped,” Reid said.… Read more

today against the Carolina Panthers despite a groin injury, reports Ian
Rapoport of NFL.com.
Groin injury or not, I'm told the #Cowboys expect Dez Bryant to play Sunday. He will still test it out in pre-game warmups, though.

Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant downplayed his groin injury when he spoke with the media today. “It’s nothing major, just something that I need to rest and I’ll be … Continue reading »
By the off chance that you've been cryogenically frozen for the past seven weeks, here's a quick update on the Dallas Cowboys 2012 season. They dismantled the New York Giants in week 1, got manhandled by Seattle in week 2, won a not-as-close-as-it-looks game against Tampa Bay in week 3, got manhandled again by Chicago in week 4, and then were able to wrestle defeat from the...
Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant is expected to play Sunday against the Carolina Panthers, despite being listed as questionable because of a groin injury. A team source told NFL.com Saturday that Bryant will test out the injury before the game and will start unless there is a setback.
New York News | NYC Breaking News Martellus Bennett was a guest on “Good Day New York” on Tuesday, and the New York Giants tight end spent part of his appearance doing what he does best — taking shots at Tony Romo. The show’s hosts had a football on set in light of Bennett’s appearance, [...]
It's not even November, but have the Cowboys already reached a must-win game?
Based on the team's 2-3 start and what lies ahead after Sunday's game at Carolina, the Cowboys definitely need to start making some hay.
The Panthers are just 1-4 and this is not a case of their record being deceiving. Carolina has holes everywhere. The Cowboys need to exploit them.
With a 19-14 win at Carolina on Sunday, the Cowboys proved they could win a game and avoid the costly mistakes of the previous shortfall at Baltimore.
They also proved they can't trust their offense. And with good reason.
The key moment came late in the fourth quarter with the Cowboys trailing by one and facing third-and-nine at the Carolina 15 yard line.
A team with a lot of...
CHARLOTTE, NC -- The Carolina Panthers continued their 2012 swoon with a 16-14 home loss to the equally desperate Dallas Cowboys on Sunday at Bank of America Stadium.
As a result, the Panthers dropped to 1-5 on the season and are nearly a virtual lock to miss the playoffs once again despite that being the team's stated mission in preseason camp.
The following are both teams...
The Cowboys were able to defeat a bad 1-4 Carolina Panthers team, but barely and now the Cowboys get back to a very mediocre 3-3 record for the year. After six games, the Cowboys have an identity, which is a conservative and penalty making thirsty team. We are still a bad team, and you can definitely expect more of the same type of games. The Cowboys have absolutely proven the penalty...
Philly Sports World Fantasy Week 7 recap
The Patriots taking down the Jets brings my record up to 5-2. Though the game was not the rout that I expected a win is a win, Ridley being also one of my start them was the Pats leading rusher, no touchdowns would make him a bust.
RG3, two touchdowns!! A good fantasy day as I had him a must play, predicting two on the ground, he gave us...
DALLAS (19) d CAROLINA (14)
The Headline: Dallas escapes in Carolina to get back to .500
On paper this had the makings of an awesome game, you had 2011’s NFL rookie phenom Cam Newton going aganist Tony Romo, both of whom have the ability to do some crazy stuff back there when asked to improvise. Carolina also has Steve Smith who has a knack for big plays and, despite...
CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- The Dallas Cowboys produced barely enough offense despite stretches of efficiency from quarterback Tony Romo to pull out a 19-14 victory against the Carolina Panthers on Sunday afternoon at Bank of America Stadium. Dallas pulled ahead for good on Dan Bailey's 28-yard field goal with 3:25 left. The Cowboys defense did the rest. The Panthers picked up one...
