There were rumors back in October rumors from Pro Football Weekly that an anonymous NFL general manager ripping Ndamukong Suh and his teammates for not being worth their hype.  The source never came forward and it amounted to many (including myself) thinking that this anonymous executive is a huge coward. Well, now a Lions player should consider himself a coward.  It’s someone inside the locker room that is spouting off to the media about Lions players.  And again, the source won’t be revealed. It came after the Lions last second 35-33 loss to the Indianapolis Colts last Sunday.  One Lions player told Yahoo Sports that Suh and others “don’t understand what it takes to win.”  But there’s more. “Yeah, we’re loaded.  But we have a couple of guys who don’t understand what it takes to win. Just making a couple of plays and thinking that makes you great … sometimes you want to just shake some of these guys and say, ‘Don’t you get it?”   When asked to name names, the player said that it starts with Suh.  “He’s focused for 90 percent of the time.  But it’s the 10 percent that kills you. … With (Suh), he loses his cool and all of a sudden we’re blowing a play or dealing with some controversy.” It’s really anyone’s guess who made the comments.  Was it a veteran that is sick of the young guys (Suh, Nick Fairley, Mikel LeShoure, etc.) getting in trouble?  Was it a young guy having no poise but to give the media ammo?  We’ll probably never know.  The one thing I will say is that it’s incredibly weak on that player.  If you have an issue with the effort guys are giving, call a meeting and hash it out.  Airing your dirty laundry to the media is not going to help your team win anything.  Suh doesn’t know what it takes to win?  It’s quite obvious that the guy responsible for these comments doesn’t either – extremely hypocritical. This is just another indictment of head coach Jim Schwartz and the lack of discipline with this group.
