Colts Chronicle:
It’s being reported by ESPN’s Adam Schefter that Anthony Gonzalez tweaked his already injured ankle that he’s been trying to come back from since Week 1. It doesn’t appear to be anything too serious but until now it had been expected that Gonzo would be able to return in time for next week’s rematch with the Texans. Now that doesn’t appear to be as likely.
If he can’t play next week then he will be most likely be replaced by Blair White, and the Colts will be without Austin Collie, Dallas Clark and Gonzalez. The ‘next man up’ mantra will truly be put to the test… more so than it already has been. Here’s to hoping Gonzo just experienced some slight discomfort and can still be back 100% by next week.
