PLAYERS: Arian Foster
TEAMS: Houston Texans

Per @adamschefter and my sources, #Texans running back Arian Foster is expected to undergo season-ending surgery. Wanted to play. — Tania Ganguli (@taniaganguli) November 10, 2013 Houston Texans running back Arian Foster will be shut down for the season with a back issue that has been slowing him this season. Foster looked for outside help and advice on his back from doctors, but they all came to the same decision for season ending back surgery. Foster has been dealing with injuries all season starting in OTA’s when he injured his calf which kept him out majority of training camp, and then he has some hamstring issues of late which finally lead to his back issues that shut him down for the season. The past two games Foster has only played in 10 plays both in the first drives of the games, and he could no continue after he was taken out. Foster this season has 121 rushes for 542 yards with 22 receptions and 183 plus two total touchdowns (1 rushing, 1 receiving) With Foster’s season ending, Ben Tate, Deji Karim and rookie Dennis Johnson will take over the running duties with Tate being the starter for the remainder of the season.
