Arizona vs Seattle Betting? Headline: Seahawks Return Home to Take on Unravelling Cardinals in Week 14 The Seattle Seahawks return home after a two game road trip resulted in one win and one loss. The end result – the Hawks still occupy a Wild Card spot in the NFC and the team is getting better and more confident as the weeks roll on. In Week 14, Seattle entertains an Arizona Cardinals team that has lost eight straight games and has far more questions than answers. Arizona Cardinals (4-8) vs. Seattle Seahawks (7-5) Date/Time: Sunday, December 9, 4:25 PM ET Venue: CenturyLink Field Broadcast: FOX Cardinals vs. Seahawks Betting Lines from bovada Spread: Seahawks -10 1/2 (-110) Moneyline: OFF Over/Under: 34 1/2 points After starting the season 4-0 the Arizona Cardinals have endured a monumental collapse in the NFC West. Eight straight losses, a horrendous Quarterback situation, a running game that has contributed virtually nothing this season, and a dysfunctional culture has made Arizona one of the easier outs in the NFL. Travelling to Seattle likely won’t heal the wounds – CenturyLink has been one of the toughest buildings in the world to play in this season and seasons past. It is no secret as to why the Cardinals are suffering – offense! They are last in the NFL in scoring – 15.50 points per game, they are second last in rushing – 81.50 yards per game and they are 27th in passing. Poor Larry Fitzgerald! Ryan Lindley has been awful filling in for John Skelton and may get the start again – good news for all you Hawks fans. But Kevin Kolb may return this week to regain his starting QB role – not terrible news for Hawks fans! Arizona’s running game has contributed virtually nothing to the team so far and the return of Beanie Wells to the lineup has provided absolutely zero spark. Beanie Wells averaging 2.4 yards per carry and LaRod Stephens-Howling is averaging 3.4 yards per carry – yuck! The Cardinals have been good on defense this season – it is the only reason that they are somewhat competitive over the last eight weeks. They are 3rd against the pass allowing just 196 yards per game, 24th versus the run and they allow the 7th least points per game in the league – 19.50. How good would a win in Miami have looked in the standings right now for the Hawks? Seattle let one slip away two weeks ago but made up for it with a total team effort last week in Chicago. The Hawks are in a Wild Card spot and play three of their last four at home – very encouraging. Until Brandon Browner and Richard Sherman are suspended Seattle will continue to be a scary defensive team! The Hawks have the league’s third worst passing attack statistically heading into Week 14 but there is absolutely no doubt that they are improving each and every week. Russell Wilson nearly dropped 300 yards on the Bears last week to go along with two touchdowns. He has proven to be a threat throwing and running the ball – he has contributed greatly to Seattle’s 7th ranked running game. No longer is Seattle one dimensional on offense although Marshawn Lynch is still an immense weapon that is money on home field! Defensively Seattle continues to be top tier. The Seahawks are allowing 16.8 points per game (3rd), 110.6 rushing yards (12th), and 202.6 passing yards (5th) with 10 interceptions and 30 sacks. Bobby Wagner has 101 tackles, Kam Chancellor has 80 tackles, and K.J. Wright has 76 tackles. Until Brandon Browner and Richard Sherman are suspended Seattle will continue to be a scary defensive team! Dave’s Free Won’t Cost You Anything Betting Prediction • The total has gone UNDER in 6 of Arizona’s last 7 games on the road • The total has gone UNDER in 5 of Arizona’s last 6 games when playing on the road against Seattle • The total has gone UNDER in 6 of Arizona’s last 8 games • Arizona is 6-3 SU in its last 9 games when playing Seattle • Seattle is 5-0 SU in its last 5 games at home • The total has gone UNDER in 5 of Seattle’s last 6 games when playing at home against Arizona • The total has gone OVER in 4 of Seattle’s last 5 games • Seattle is 7-2 SU in its last 9 games when playing at home against Arizona It is likely that the Cardinals will be absolutely overmatched in every aspect of the game Sunday and with the 12th man sure to be in fine form as per usual, this game has blowout written all over it. If Seattle can send Dallas, Green Bay and New England packing from CenturyLink, imagine what they will do to the lowly Cardinals. 10 points is an enormous spread but it doesn’t scare me off!
