Arizona Staff Says Skelton’s Injury Isn’t Too Bad - If you were watching the Seattle at Arizona game on Sunday and saw the look of agony and pain on Cardinals QB John Skelton’s face when he went down late in the fourth quarter, you were most likely thinking that he’d suffered a very serious injury. Skelton’s right ankle was quickly placed in an air cast and he was taken off the field on a cart. And we were all waiting to hear the news of a terrible, possible season-ending injury, or at least that he suffered ‘the dreaded’ high ankle sprain. Turns out the news isn’t all that bad. Darren Urban of the team’s website passes along word from Cards’ head coach Ken Whisenhunt that Skelton suffered a low ankle sprain, a diagnosis that Whisenhunt described as “good news.” The coach wouldn’t talk about the time frame for Skelton’s return at all, but also wouldn’t rule Skelton out for this Sundays game against the Patriots.
