At the end of a Florida street

Ours is a rather quiet existence this Sunday night, The Star colleagues and I taking up residence at a small hotel in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. The flight got here in the early afternoon, and after seemingly an eternity to catch a shuttle to get a rental car, we finally arrived in our rooms. The hotel is literally at the end of a dead-end street, across from a 7-Eleven. The obvious thought is why would anyone put a store here, across from a small hotel, in an otherwise residential area? Of all the places to blog from, this has to be one of the more unusual. But I digress, let's get to the info of the day: * OG Jamey Richard didn't make the trip, so that means a shoulder injury keeps him out of Monday night's game. The backup will likely be replaced by Kyle DeVan, although that's just my guess. * After talking to colleagues, I learned that a player spilled the beans on Saturday about who was starting at WR.
