The Panthers just signed new No. 2 quarterback A.J. Feeley, so it'll be awhile before he's considered to replace Jake Delhomme. But here are four other backups who should start warming up their arms:
Kyle Boller, Rams. Marc Bulger wasn't successful shaking off the effects of his broken pinkie in a 28-0 loss at Seattle—and he's also coming off two bad seasons. Boller knows St. Louis' new offense as well as Bulger and may his shot soon.
Todd Collins, Redskins. In 2007, Collins had a memorable December, sparking Washington into the playoffs. If Jason Campbell keeps making critical mistakes, the team should consider the savvy 37-year-old.
Chad Henne, Dolphins. Miami might need to take an earlier-than-expected look at its quarterback of the future if Chad Pennington continues to struggle.
Luke McCown, Jaguars. He nearly won the Buccaneers' starting job before being traded. Although David Garrard hasn't performed well since the beginning of cam...
