Looks like running back Marshawn Lynch's foot injury might possibly keep him out of Sunday's playoff matchup with the Atlanta Falcons in we're to read anything by him missing 2 practices in a row. Lynch has not missed consecutive practices since week 10 (back, wrist) when they beat the New York Jets 28-7, but he did play and was successful, running for 124 yards. The difference here is that this time around, it's a foot injury. Suffice to say, Marshawn out would be a big blow to the Seahawks running game and overall offense. Put adie all the media hoopla over rookie QB Russell Wilson. Make no mistake, Lynch is the straw that stirs the drink in Seattle. Rookie Robert Turbin would get the start in that event, and that will be a huge dropoff to say the least. Turbin has 354 yards on 80 carriers this season in his limited time on the field.   var switchTo5x=true; stLight.options({publisher:''});

  • Good sign, Seattle Times reports at 1:34 PM PT that Lynch is probable. When asked what would keep him from playing Pete carroll said, "I don't know, miss the flight?"
    Go SeaHawks!!!
  • I love my Hawks and we've got a well rounded team, but they are screwed without Marshawn.
  • NOOOOOOOOO !!!! That would be a HUGE loss, Lynch is the furnace that fires this team. It will be hard a situation, but not impossible..If the Hawks put together a game like they put on in Washington, they would still be in a good place to win..I also believe that for Lynch to miss this game he would really have to be injured bad. He has too much HEART for anything less that that...GO HAWKS
  • Beast will be out there. This is just Pete Carroll playing it safe (and using smoke and mirrors). Also, Robert Turbin isn't that much of a drop-off. He's fully capable of putting up over 100 yards, even if Lynch is banged up. He's also a better receiver out of the backfield. This game will come down to the defense. Gonzalez over the middle is going to be a problem. Seattle absolutely has to get consistent pressure on Ryan. They can't have Cam Chancellor biting on the run fake like he did against Miami. I think Seattle wins this game if they keep Atlanta under 24 points.
