After their first practice session on Friday, the Kansas City Chiefs had all but one of their warriors in camp. With the absence of Dwayne Bowe, it’s time for Jonathan Baldwin to elevate his game to Superhero status.

Chiefs WR Dwayne Bowe was a no show at training camp. Now what?
ST. JOSEPH, Mo. – After indicating that he would indeed play nice under the franchise tag, Kansas City WR Dwayne Bowe did not report to training camp today.
As the Chiefs only unsigned player, Bowe will become the team’s major training camp storyline until he shows up and takes the $9.5 million dollars that team owes him for the year under the tag.

Jamaal Charles reportedly looks as quick as ever

The Kansas City Chiefs recently medically cleared running back Jamaal Charles, safety Eric Better, tight end Tony Moeki for training camp.
According to Jim Trotter of SI.com, Charles “looks as quick as ever” after missing most of the 2011 season after tearing his ACL.
This is certainly good news for the Chiefs, since Charles looked like he was poised for a good...
Fantasy Football 2012: Is Jamaal Charles Still an RB1?
.
Jamaal Charles exploded on the scene in 2009 finishing with 1120 yards (1417 total) and eight scores. He followed his breakout season with a monster 1467 yard (1935 total), eight touchdown season. After missing nearly all of the 2011 season, can Charles return as an RB1 for fantasy owners?
The first test will come during training camp when he test the knee out. Fortunately...
Bowe's a no-show in St. Joe
Wide receiver Dwayne Bowe, Kansas City's leader in receptions and receiving yards the past three years, was not on the field Friday as the Chiefs opened training camp.
Bowe, a Pro Bowler in 2010, was given the franchise tag when he refused to sign the Chiefs' tender. If he eventually comes in and plays this year, as the Chiefs expect, he will get about $9.5 million.
The...
Leg Injury For Chiefs DB Kyle McCarthy 'Doesn't Look Good'
We had our first injury of Kansas City Chiefs training camp yesterday when safety Kyle McCarthy went down during team drills. McCarthy was seen clutching his knee, being helped up by trainers and not putting any weight on his leg before being carted off the field. Non contact injuries are usually not a good thing and it doesn't appear this one is either. Per Josh Looney, head...
Chiefs’ Dwayne Bowe does not report for Training Camp
Dwayne Bowe is one of the few unsigned franchise players remaining. He officially became a holdout by skipping the Chiefs’ first day of Training Camp Friday. It’s unclear what Bowe hopes to gain from this as he can’t be signed long term now anyway. He will become a free agent next offseason either way, so all he’s doing is hurting himself, and potentially costing himself...
Jamaal Charles Gets Green Light For Camp
Running back Jamaal Charles has been given the green light to participate at the start of training camp with the Chiefs.
Fantasy Spin:
This is encouraging as Charles is coming off surgery to repair a torn ACL suffered at the start of last season. He will move up fantasy draft boards if he looks good through camp and the preseason, but just keep in mind that Peyton Hillis will remain...
Time to bury the hatchet, Dwayne Bowe
ST. JOSEPH, Mo. -- Because what else are you going to do? Play "Angry Birds" until your thumbs bleed? Learn macram? Audition for "Dancing With The Stars?" Make celebrity cameos on Rob Gronkowski's new reality show?
Come to camp, Dwayne Bowe. Come on, man. This is starting to get silly.
Look, we get it. You were itching for a long-term deal. Or maybe a ticket...

Training camp is sweet relief for Chiefs
ST. JOSEPH, Mo. -- He forgot. For Eric Berry, that was sweet. The best sign of all.
He'd cut. And plant. And backpedal. And twist. And jump. It was natural, painless, and free. So much so, that he didn't realize he was doing this on his left knee, the left knee that'd been torn to shreds and built back up again. He'd forgotten about the block that ended his 2011...
Excpectation high as Chiefs open camp
ST. JOSEPH, Mo. 'Twas the night before training camp, and a lifetime Kansas City Chiefs enthusiast are there any other kind? texted me this:
"Playoffs or 10 wins. Must show Haley was the problem."
For better or worse, kids, there's your bar.
If the 2012 Royals were "Our Time," the slogan for the 2012 Chiefs is "About Time." With the All...
Take Wait and See Approach on Cassel
It’s become easy to pile on. Offensively last season was not what Chiefs players, the front office or fans envisioned; especially for the teams signal-caller, Matt Cassel. And the fans let him know it.

Center of Defense in the Fold
In a move not too surprising before training camp begins on Friday, the Kansas City Chiefs came to terms with their first round pick, Dontari Poe.
Scouting for the 2013 NFL Draft: C-USA
Conference USA produced the 11th pick of last April's draft when the Kansas City Chiefs selected defensive tackle Dontari Poe. Marshall's Vinny Curry was next as the Philadelphia Eagles drafted the pass rusher in round two. History may repeat itself next April as Marshall will very likely have another player chosen in the draft's second round...
