On March 4th, fresh off a Super Bowl MVP award, Joe Flacco signed a six-year, $120.6 million deal (or three years... depending on whom you ask), not only the richest contract in Ravens', but NFL, history. It marked a high point in what has been an often, unfulfilled journey in Baltimore's search for a franchise quarterback. From the likes of Vinny Testaverde and Eric Zeier to the Heisman Trophy-winning Troy Smith, there have been vastly more low lights (See: Stoney Case) than highlights (See: The one, healthy Steve McNair season in 2006). The lowest period began on draft night in 2003.That fateful evening wasn't all bad.The first pick brought, arguably, the fourth best player in the organization's history. Terrell Suggs, the All-American, sack machine from Arizona State, was taken with the 10th pick and has been named to five Pro Bowls, an All-Pro team, and won the NFL Defensive Rookie of the year along with the 2011 NFL Defensive Player of the Year, more than liv...
BEST OF MAXIM
Baltimore Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco and the he is a still a regular well…Joe campaign continues to move forward. Flacco was caught by TMZ’s cameras at the BWI airport in Baltimore this weekend.
The big deal I suppose is that he didn’t cop a limo to take him to his destination.
He took the regular shuttle bus just like everyone else.
Joe Flacco is a man of the people or...
IS THIS A JOKE TO YOU?
Ray Lewis may be one of the most dramatic players in NFL history, but Joe Flacco says he couldn't help but chuckle at some of his speeches.
TEMPE, Ariz. Joe Flacco moved through the crowds at the Kurt Warner Ultimate Football Experience on Saturday like Gulliver wading through the Lilliputians.
Clearly weary but never wavering, Flacco paused for autographs, stopped to snap every phone photo, chatted with children and smiled at every beaming face in this odd but enduring American fascination with celebrity.
Bernard Pollard is the latest Raven to fall victim to what we shall now deem Flacco Gate.

Baltimore Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco got quite a kick out of Ray Lewis’ speeches at times. He told USA Today Sports that he would some times laugh when the future Hall of Famer would address them in the locker room.
“Oh, it’s funny,” said Flacco. “His speeches come from the heart, but there’s definitely times where I’m sitting there kind...
So here we are, a couple of weeks removed from the signing of the most ridiculous contract in NFL history. The same contract that will ultimately tear the Baltimore Ravens apart.
In hopes to move pieces around so they can afford to keep as many players as possible, the Baltimore Ravens traded Anquan Boldin to the San Francisco 49ers on Monday.
The 49ers acquired wide receiver Anquan...
For over a decade, Ray Lewis was the unquestioned leader of the Baltimore Ravens' defense, giving countless speeches that rallied his troops around him. They were fiery, and they came from the heart, but they were also ridiculous, even for his teammates.
"Oh, it's funny," Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco told USA Today Sports while talking about Lewis' passionate...
During the Baltimore Ravens' Super Bowl run this season, much of the focus was on Ravens inside linebacker Ray Lewis and his pregame speeches and dancing that motivated the team all the way to the Lombardi Trophy (or something like that). However, despite Lewis' exuberance, one Ravens player didn't react like the rest of the team did. Quarterback Joe Flacco actually was...
Ray Lewis has an unbridled enthusiasm for the game of football, and he is considered one of the best motivational speakers in sports. But the former Baltimore Ravens linebacker also has a tendency to go overboard with his speeches. His excessive show of emotion even led to him being mocked by the “Saturday Night Live” crew in January.
Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco even says Lewis’...
Know what happens when you sign the wealthiest contract in football history, in a salary cap sport?
Let’s rewind a few months to New Year’s Eve. The Ravens had just lost their final regular season game to the Bengals. They had truly backed into the playoffs, losing four of their last five games. The offense (led by Flacco) was so bad that they fired their offensive coordinator...
Trade for Baltimore: I get that the Ravens were going to cut Anquan Boldin if they couldn’t find a suitor via trade and given that it’s good that they got something for him, but I question the logic of cutting him in the first place. He was just as big a reason why they won the Super Bowl as Joe Flacco and Flacco, who they just signed to a massive long-term deal, took Boldin’s...
