Looks like all the balls that Dallas Clark dropped are going to catch up to him. The Ravens have plans to workout former Patriots tight end Jake Ballard on Monday.
Ballard hasn’t been the same since tearing his ACL in Super Bowl XLVI when he was a member of the New York Giants.
The Giants attempted to move him through waivers during the 2012 offseason, but the Patriots foiled their plans, a year later they have decided it was a bad idea.
The Ravens are at a loss without Dennis Pitta, the lack of production from Ed Dickson and Clark has left them turning over stones looking for someone of substance.
Ballard is unlikely the answer to their problem, as he hasn’t been himself since the injury, but his hands might just be an improvement over Clark’s.

Aaron Wilson reports that the Baltimore Ravens will re-sign WR Tandon Doss.
Doss was part of the Ravens roster cuts a little over a week ago. Now that Jacoby Jones is sidelined for a number of weeks with a knee injury, it makes plenty of sense for the Ravens to bring in some additional at wide receiver.
Marlon Brown figures to be Baltimore’s No. 2 option moving forward.
Ravens right tackle Michael Oher will probably not miss any time due to the sprained ankle he sustained during Thursday's game against Denver according to a report from the Baltimore Sun's Aaron Wilson.
Oher injured his ankle on Ray Rice's 1-yard touchdown run in the first half of Baltimore's 49-27 loss to Denver. As Rice was sweeping to the right side guard Marshal...
Jason La Canfora is reporting that the ankle injury Ravens RT Michael Oher suffered on Thursday night will not keep him out long.

That is great news for the Ravens who looked like they needed...
Mike Garafolo of FOX Sports reports that the Baltimore Ravens will bring in former Patriots TE Jake Ballard for a workout on Monday.
The news comes less than a hour after Anquan Boldin finished Sunday’s win over Green Bay with 13 catches for 208 yards and a touchdown. Baltimore sent Boldin to the 49ers in return for a sixth-round pick, which now looks like a ridiculous deal. It’s...
Gotta give John Harbaugh credit... he always looks forward and does not dwell upon mistakes of the past game.
This take is right off the home page of the Ravens, but it is so true and on point, and John Harbaugh tells it like is, courtesy of a fine reporting job by Garrett Downing:
John Harbaugh was direct in his assessment of the running game after Thursday’s loss...
A glorious Sunday of football action is but a mere few hours away and we can’t wait. Of course, that doesn’t mean we can’t still also be laughing at the Ravens for their season opening loss on Thursday. Yahoo’s latest fantasy app update included a cute little burn of Baltimore’s defense for surrendering seven touchdown passes to Peyton Manning. It’s pretty funny, unless...
Just in case you'd forgotten how much of a hypocritical bag of **** Ray Lewis, here he is on ESPN to remind you.
Lewis was on a panel during ESPN's Sunday NFL Countdown when the subject of Aaron Hernandez and crime in the NFL came up. Here are his incoherent thoughts.
“I want to make sure we clear something up because we have to do this
for our brand of the National...
(Via Fantasyfootballgod.net) Julius Thomas’s sleeper value slowly increased over the first four weeks of the preseason and now after the week one beat down of the superbowl champion Ravens, Thomas is officially a hot commodity as a TE 1. Thomas caught 5 balls for 110 yards and 2 TDs .
The loss of Jacoby Jones for 4-6 weeks due to a sprained MCL could possibly springboard Marlon...
It was evident that the Baltimore Ravens missed the
mid-field presence of tight end Dennis Pitta and wide receiver Anquan Boldin during
last Thursday’s opening-night loss to the Denver Broncos. Neither player is
expected back this season, forcing the Ravens to look elsewhere for help. They’ll
be doing just that today, when they work out former New York Giants and New
This isn’t intended to be a hit piece on Baltimore GM Ozzie Newsome, or an irrational anti-Joe Flacco screed. The fact is simply this: Flacco is not good enough to elevate the lesser talent around him, which is exactly what a premium paid quarterback has to do in a strict salary cap league.Newsome had little choice but to re-sign Flacco to the record six-year, $120 million bank...
