Oddsmakers are not showing early-season belief in the Baltimore Ravens getting the job done against the Chiefs
Tommy Gilligan-USA TODAY Sports

The NFL season is opening with an absolute banger of an opener that should excite fans.

When the Baltimore Ravens head into Arrowhead Stadium to take on the Kansas City Chiefs, it’ll be a game that futures a ton of the game’s biggest stars.

Though there are months until the game actually gets here, oddsmakers are already favoring the Chiefs in the matchup of the two teams that made it to the AFC Championship game.

According to DraftKings, the Chiefs are -3 favorites to win against the Ravens. Oddsmakers have the over/under point goal set at 47.5. As it currently stands, you can take the Ravens at +130 to win on the road.

It was a defensive game in the AFC Championship that Kansas City held onto, 17-10, a game before they won their second Super Bowl in a row. Baltimore ran the ball just eight times for 27 yards in that matchup and that’s something that will have to change in the season opener. Perhaps Baltimore bringing in Derrick Henry as a big free-again signing is the perfect recipe to fix that.

Baltimore played well enough defensively to win the game and will need their offense to step up tremendously against a stout Kansas City offense. We now know where the oddsmakers currently stand on the game.
