Both the Baltimore Ravens and Houston Texans have a premier runningback. Ray Rice and Arian Foster have been accumulating tons of yards this year and their play on the field speaks for it self. But when Rice or Foster needs a breather, two backs are ready to go. The Ravens rely on veteran Ricky Williams to compliment Ray Rice while the Texans do the same with young Ben Tate out of Auburn. Both have been tremendous for their respective teams this year and I look for them to make an impact tomorrow. … [visit site to read more] Baltimore Ravens vs. Houston Texans: The Impact of Ben Tate and Ricky Williams - Ebony Bird - Ebony Bird - A Baltimore Ravens Fan Site - News, Blogs, Opinion and more.

NFL Playoffs: Ray Rice Is Not The Only Weapon For Ravens

Some people in Houston have been so focused on Ray Rice that it can feel like he is the only offensive player that the Ravens have. Rice is certainly an enormous part of the offense–he is second in the NFL in all-purpose yards (behind Antonio Brown who had half of his yards on returns). However, he was not the only one that killed the Texans in their first meeting. The Ravens...

Texans, Ravens make a run at glory in playoffs

(Eds: APNewsNow. Will be updated. With AP Photos.) By DAVID GINSBURG AP Sports Writer The Baltimore Ravens and Houston Texans are quite content to run against the grain in the pass-happy NFL. Baltimore relies heavily on running back Ray Rice and a defensive unit led by Pro Bowl linebackers Ray Lewis and Terrell Suggs. Houston depends on the rushing prowess of Arian Foster and the...

Houston Texans vs. Baltimore Ravens Game Analysis

Going into this game, with subdued optimism, I thought that the Houston would hold their own against the Baltimore Ravens. In fact, they not only held their own but outplayed them in almost every aspect of the game. The two glaring discrepancies for the Texans were turnovers and the quarterback. Otherwise the Texans dominated this game. If you do not believe me check it out for...

Ravens Advance To AFC Championship

The Ravens are bound for the AFC Championship after taking down the Texans in the Divisional Round with a final score of 20-13 at M&T Bank Stadium. Fantasy Spin: Quarterback Joe Flacco was efficient against a fierce defense as he completed 14 of 27 passes for 176 yards, with two touchdowns and no interceptions. Stud running back Ray Rice was held in check though, as he bruised...

Baltimore Ravens (12-4) vs. Houston Texans (11-6)

The Baltimore Ravens rested up last weekend and they seem hungry and ready to go for tomorrow afternoon’s tilt with the Texans.  The Texans blistered the Bengals last weekend.  The Ravens beat the Texans 29-14 in Baltimore back in week six this year.  Here is a look at the matchups in this game: When the Ravens have the ball:  The Ravens have to get the ball in Ray Rice’s...

Teams' hopes rest on run

The Baltimore Ravens and Houston Texans are quite content to run against the grain in the pass-happy NFL. Baltimore relies heavily on running back Ray Rice and a stingy defensive unit led by Pro Bowl linebackers Ray Lewis and Terrell Suggs. Houston depends on the rushing prowess of Arian Foster and the NFL's second-ranked defense.

Ravens 20 Texans 13 (The HOUSTON PRESENTED US WITH A FEW PROBLEMS OF OUR OWN Game)

It’s kind of funny, sitting here a day later. If the Ravens had been able to score from about 0.25 yards out on two tries yesterday, my score prediction of 27-13 would have likely been right on. For the record, I’ve been picking scores on this site for five full seasons now (plus eight playoff games), and that would have been the first time I ever hit the nail on the head. Watching...
