It was Barron's first full day of practice after he missed several practices and two games with a sprained right ankle.
"He was ready," Phillips said. "It looked like he did fine. It looked like he went through it with flying colors," Phillips said.
The Cowboys acquired Barron in an offseason trade with St. Louis for linebacker Bobby Carpenter. He could also start the preseason finale against Miami on Sept. 2 while starter Marc Colombo recovers from arthroscopic knee surgery.
In other injury news:
* Receiver Kevin Ogletree (hamstring) missed his second straight practice. The second-year player could return Thursday, Phillips said.
* Linebacker Leon Williams (ear) was added to the injury list.
