According to the New York Daily News, Jets LB Bart Scott would be willing to take a paycut from the $6.9 million salary that he’s set to make next season if it allowed him to remain with the team.
Scott, 32, has been rumored to be on the chopping block once the season ended, given that his overall production has declined in recent years.
The report mentions that the most likely course of action for the Jets would be to release Scott and re-sign him to a much lower deal for next season, assuming that they’re still interested in having him on their roster.
