A league source told the Tribune the Bears are exploring the possibility of adding former Packer Charlie Peprah, who was released last month. The 5-foot-11, 203-pound Peprah started 14 games in 2011 and finished with five interceptions, including one returned for a touchdown. The seventh-year veteran has 26 starts in 69 career games with the Packers and Falcons.

The Packers reportedly released him after he failed a physical on the first day of training camp. Peprah, 29, didn't participate in offseason workouts after having arthroscopic knee surgery and the Bears want to examine the knee before proceeding.

Jeff Saturday should have a bust when it’s all said and done

As week three of the National Football League preseason comes to an end I was looking down the list of the many former North Carolina football players that are now playing at the next level. The one that I kept going back to is a center who has been in the NFL for well over a decade and has snapped the ball for two future Hall of Famers. He came into the league undrafted and might...

Green Bay Packer Offense Hits Stride Verses Cincinnati Bengals

The Green Bay Packer first offensive team reminded fans of last season during their time on the field in Cincinnati Thursday night. Lead by the rushing of Aaron Rodgers the Green Bay Packers were able to put 17 points on the board in the first half on the way to a 27 to 13 preseason victory. Cedric Benson did not start the game with the first unit but came into the game when...

Randall Cobb Fantasy 2012

The Green Bay Packers are being touted as one of the number 1 contenders in the 2012 season, and with the third best passing offense in 2011 (averaging 307.8 yards per game) there are plenty of reasons to be high on the Packers players as fantasy options. Aaron Rodgers and crew are playing the league’s second easiest schedule in 2012, playing only seven teams that had at least 9...

The Green Bay Packers released defensive end Anthony Hargrove on Friday. Hargrove, a former New Orleans Saint, is on suspension for eight games because of his role in the "bounty gate" scandal. Anyway, here are 5 thoughts from the Packers’ 27-13 victory over the Bengals on Thursday: 1) Tramon Williams isn’t Darrell Revis, but he may receive similar treatment from quarterbacks this season...

Packers Not Giving Up On QB Graham Harrell Just Yet

The Green Bay Packers had a very encouraging performance Thursday night against the Cincinnati Bengals. The team's pass defense was dominant. Bob McGinn of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel noted that Cedric Benson looked like the first "real" running back the team has seen in a while. The performance of backup quarterback Graham Harrell remains the last item sticking...

I’M HAPPY AND I KNOW IT

Didn’t anyone else watch the Packer game and have that Aaron Rodgers smirk titlebelt game thing going last night?  Yeah, me too.   Packer Game 3 playoff pre-season analysis:  Attention deficit disorder edition. Last week Aaron Rodgers threw a touchdown in practice and broke out the titlebelt.  I blame THAT and not the Giants or our defense why they lost last year.  The titlebelt...
