Ben Roethlisberger is expected to return to action this weekend when Pittsburgh plays San Diego. Roethlisberger has been out since Nov. 12. According to the Post-Gazette the nine year veteran’s condition has improved his range of motion. In that Nov. 12 contest against Kansas City the Steeler quarterback injured his shoulder and ribs. This would not be the first time that Roethlisberger played while injured. Even at less then 100 percent he represents a substantial upgrade over Charlie Batch who led Pittsburgh to a win in Baltimore last week. While Pittsburgh will have back their quarterback they could be without one of their cornerbacks for an extended period of time. Ike Taylor will not play this weekend after suffering a hairline fracture in his lower right leg. Cortez Allen will replace him at the cornerback position.
