The replacement officials have been under a ridiculous amount of scrutiny throughout the first few games of the season, and with good reason. The scrutiny will not stop any time soon apparently, especially following the final field goal in the Ravens and Patriots battle on Sunday night. Bill Belichick will be the first person to have beef with the officials, and he showed it by making unnecessary contact with a replacement ref following the controversial game winning field goal. It is OK to argue with refs following bad calls, but under no situation is it OK to touch them. You can expect the NFL to be calling Bill about the incident on Monday morning. Replay DOES show the final field goal by the Ravens sneaking through the uprights, but it was very close. Bill Belichick Grabs Ref After Defeat

After the Patriots lost a thrilling and frustrating game to the Baltimore Ravens, Patriots coach Bill Belichick was seen grabbing a referee as he was exiting the field. Belichick wanted the refs to review the game winning field goal by Justin Tucker, but rules state that if a ball goes over the uprights, it is not a reviewable call. Belichick is looking at the very least a fine...

Vote: Which Ravens Player Should Be the Patriots' Biggest Concern on Sunday?

For Bill Belichick, Ed Reed may be "the one that got away." Back in April of 2002, Belichick and Scott Pioli chose to take tight end Daniel Graham with the 21st overall pick in the NFL draft. Reed went just three picks later, and after eight pro bowl appearances and eight all-pro teams, the Patriots head coach may still be kicking himself. But after eleven seasons in the...

In addition to the fights, the refs administered 24 penalties during the game — 10 to the Patriots and 14 to the Ravens. In addition, there were 13 first downs handed...

Entire stadiums have booed them. The Patriots' Bill Belichick grabbed one by the arm and the Redskins' Kyle Shanahan was so hopping mad he followed one into the tunnel after the game. But it took the team that Vince Lombardi built, playing in a ''Monday Night Football'' headliner, to put the NFL's latest labor headache - locked-out officials and their...
