One of the off-season storylines floating around the NFL is the future of Minnesota Vikings Wide Receiver Percy Harvin. Though he isn't a free agent, the Vikings are still apparently ready to trade him away. And one potential landing spot could be the New England Patriots.
NFL.com has recently reported of the history between the Receiver and Bill Belichick, who courted him during his college career, as Harvin explains.
"I'm real familiar with (Belichick)," Harvin said. "He came down a bunch of times to talk to me, talk to the (Gators) team, talk to (quarterback Tim) Tebow. I've heard a lot of things (about the 2009 draft). I think if Minnesota had passed, they would have taken me."
Harvin continued: "(The Patriots) looked at me for special teams play. They thought I could make an impact there right away. They thought I could play slot receiver. We just kind of got to know each other."
The Patriots had the 23rd pick of the 2009 dr...
BEST OF MAXIM
It may be hard for you to remember, but Percy Harvin once played for the Minnesota Vikings in 2012. It's true. He actually was doing pretty super, as well. He was being talked about heavily as an early MVP candidate in the NFL (sorry dude, it ended up going to Adrian Peterson instead!), and he was key in helping a young team jump out to an early, and surprising, 5-4 record. It...

New England Patriots' head coach Bill Belichick has drafted key players in the latest of rounds through the past ten years. One of the biggest questions this offseason is whether the Minnesota Vikings will trade wide receiver Percy Harvin.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter is someone who doesn’t believe Harvin is going anywhere.
For starters, I don’t see the Vikings trading Harvin — even Rick Spielman said last week there is “no intent” to make that deal. Second, if they do trade him and they don’t get...
Percy Harvin had “nothing to say” about rumors he is unhappy with the Vikings again and that the team may be looking to trade him.
The Minnesota Vikings don’t want to pay Percy Harvin Megatron money, and they don’t intend to trade him, so we have a stalemate.
The one thing that is for certain judging from some of Harvin’s teammates, is that he’s wanted. Vikings quarterback Christian Ponder was on KFAN recently, and made it clear that his teammates want Harvin back.

The Percy Harvin situation continues to stay volatile in Minnesota. If the Vikings organization decides to cut bait and move on without the speedy receiver, it would be a monumental blow to an offense that already needs to add weapons around quarterback Christian Ponder....
While there is no replacement for Welker on the roster, that won’t matter. Neither will the Patriots’ abysmal record of drafting wideouts. The Patriots are simply not going to put an $11.4 million franchise tag on Welker, someone with intimate knowledge of the team’s thinking said. Nor is he going to get an offer better than the one he turned down in 2011. So all his...
