Another Bills season down, another empty feeling in the fans' hearts as the playoff drought reaches 12 seasons. Previously on our site as the season approached, I exclaimed that the team was moving in a positive direction and expected 7 wins. Well, the Bills won 6 games but after the second half meltdown (1-8 in last 9 games), I'm not sure the rebuild/rebirth is actually taking hold. Even in a losing season, you'd like to see your team finish on a tear, making you wish the next campaign was starting tomorrow. That certainly didn't happen, quite the opposite really, and we're left to wonder if the Nix/Gailey plan is working or if they just need more time.
For today's post however, let's just look back position by position at this year's unit. There will be some stats but mostly this is observation, my gut feelings on our players and how the organization looks going forward. I will list my thoughts in "good, bad, and prognosis" classificatio...

Three Bills named to ESPN.com's All-AFC East team
---Running back Fred Jackson, guard Andy Levitre and strong safety George Wilson were named to ESPN.com’s All-AFC East. Jackson, pictured above, was 66 yards shy of 1,000 when he was placed on IR. Levitre started at three different positions on the offensive line, a unit that allowed a league-low 23 sacks while Wilson posted a team-high four interceptions and his 106 tackles ...
Ryan Fitzpatrick seemed to run out of gas early last year for the Buffalo Bills
29-year old QB Ryan Fitzpatrick came out like a ball of fire in 2011, but after the Bills gave him a contract extension…he stunk it up. The Bills finished with a 6-10 (37.5%) record last year and Fitzpatrick was a big reason for that. He played in 16 games (all starts) for the Bills last year and he completed 353 of 569 passes (62%) for 3,832 yards with 24 TD passes and...
Johnson, Gailey see inconsistent enforcement of celebration penalties
Bills coach Chan Gailey benched receiver Stevie Johnson on Sunday after Johnson picked up a celebration penalty for displaying a “Happy New Year” message on his undershirt. But while Gailey and Johnson may not have been happy with each other on the sideline Sunday, they agreed about one thing after the game: They question why…
Long droughts for the Bills
---As the playoffs are set to begin, Bills fans already realize the team has gone through some lean years and these next few lists probably won’t make anyone feel warm and fuzzy about the last decade or so.
Longest postseason drought Bills (1999) Cleveland (2002) Oakland (2002) St. Louis (2004) Jacksonville (2007) Tampa Bay (2007) Washington (2007)

Revisiting my 31 predictions for the Bills 2011 season
I posted these predictions on 9/10/11. What kind of fortune teller am I? Am I Whoopi Goldberg from Ghost or the chick who told Pee Wee Herman his bike was in the Alamo basement?
1) Will Ryan Fitzpatrick pass for over 20 touchdowns? No. I think Fitzpatrick will get in the range of 16-18 touchdowns. Don't get me wrong, I want Fitz to play well because he's a great guy and...

Bills agree to terms with Clowney to bolster depth at receiver
The Buffalo Bills are wasting
no time addressing their depth at receiver this offseason after free-agent
David Clowney agreed to a contract with the team on Wednesday.
Jeffery a draft option
---The Bills likely will add a wide receiver in the draft even if they elect to re-sign free agent receiver Stevie Johnson and South Carolina wideout Alshon Jeffery, who announced he is entering the draft, is a possibility at No. 10.
Jeffery, pictured above, has the size (6-foot-4) the Bills covet and the ability to make big plays down the field. The most productive receiver in...
