With the addition of rookie cornerback Stephon Gilmore, general manager Buddy Nix and the Buffalo Bills believe he can be a viable option when it comes to covering Rob Gronkowski or Aaron Hernandez of the Patriots.
“We would like to be able to match up against those two guys,” said Nix regarding Gronkowski and Hernandez. ”Even though you’re not as big as they are these guys with speed and they’re big enough that they can’t knock them around and push them away from them. It’s a lot harder for them against these bigger corners. Yes, we think he can do that.”
If Gilmore can cover either Gronkowski or Hernandez, hopefully the Bills will have someone else to cover the guy that’s not being covered by him.

According to ESPN’s John Clayton via Rotoworld.com, the Buffalo Bills are “serious” about signing free agent quarterback Vince Young to compete with Tyler Thigpen to back up Ryan Fitzpatrick.
“If he does have a good workout, I think the GM Buddy Nix would be very serious about making that type of a move,” said Clayton on NFL Live. ”… If Vince Young works out well,...
Vince Young showed some promise at the quarterback position during the 2011 season. And soon he could find himself taking snaps in the AFC East. The Buffalo Bills are set to work out Young on Wednesday, according to an ESPN report. The Buffalo Bills were already having a strong offseason, highlighted by the addition of Mario Williams. And their 2012 draft class completes the process, and potentially makes them darkhorse contenders in the AFC.
The Bills reached for Stephon Gilmore. There’s no denying his potential, but he’s will need time to develop – more time than you’d typically expect from a top...
