Bills Herd:
The early season schedule is not a kind one for the Bills. Last week they lost to what seems to be a very good Dolphins team. This week they drew the Packers who ranked second in total defense last year and are no slouches on offense with Aaron Rodgers at the helm.
The result was predictable, a 34-7 drubbing. In my last entry I talked about the need for the Bills to control the ground game on both sides of the ball. They did that well this week. The problem is they completely forgot they had to continue to play well against the pass. The Bills out rushed their opponent 124-91 with a better average than the Pack . It was clear they wanted to slow this game down. That’s tough to do though getting out passed 255-102. This actually isn’t a horrible result against a QB like Rodgers. The more glaring deficiency was the complete inability of Trent Edwards to do anything through the air. It’s one thing to throw for low yardage totals when you are the caretaker...
