TEAMS: Buffalo Bills

Buffalo Bills general manager Buddy Nix has had his eye on Kevin Kolb since free agency started, and when he got the chance he signed once Kolb was released fro Arizona. The Bills made the official announcement that Kolb is signed and in the fold on Monday. Now that he’s a member of the team, Nix went to the next level saying Kolb is a legitimate contender for the starter job. Kolb will have to compete against Tavaris Jackson and most likely a high draft pick like a Geno Smith or Matt Barkley, but the GM feels Kolb has the skills to pay the ‘Bills’ no pun intended. “He’s a player we had targeted since he became a free agent,” Nix said, via Josh Alper of profootballtalk.com. “We think we’ve added a good one. He should be a strong candidate in the competition for the starting quarterback position.” var switchTo5x=true; stLight.options({publisher:''});
