(Eds: With AP Photos.) By JOHN WAWROW AP Sports Writer Bills starting defensive end Alex Carrington is done for the season after tearing his left quadriceps. Starting cornerback Leodis McKelvin is iffy to play against Baltimore this weekend after hurting his right hamstring. And injuries aren't the only issues mounting in Buffalo. So were center Eric Wood's frustrations on Monday, a day after the offense bumbled through a 27-20 loss to the New York Jets. ''We've got a lot of young guys, and we're going to get better as the season goes on,'' Wood said. ''But yesterday, was unacceptable.'' Wood's ire was up after the Bills became the first team since the Chicago Bears in 1951 to lose when their opponent was penalized 20 or more times. The Jets were flagged 20 times for 168 yards. Rather than taking advantage, Buffalo converted just 4 of 18 third-down opportunities, and settled for three field goals on three trips inside the Jets...

Spiller vows to play Sunday vs. Ravens

Buffalo Bills running back C.J. Spiller is vowing to take the field Sunday when they take on the Baltimore Ravens, but it'll probably not be his call. As it stands right now, he could be a game-time decision. He's scheduled to get treatment this week and test out his leg at Wednesday's practice...

Buffalo Bills running back C.J. Spiller doesn't expect an injury to his right leg to keep him from playing against the Baltimore Ravens this weekend. It’s Over Before It Starts

I find coach and player interviews to be the least interesting aspect of sports journalism. Candor between athletes and the media is dead and gone, as prospective stars are trained from an extremely young age to speak in generalities and cliches rather than provide any actual insight into their psyche. In turn, many journalist’s ability to pry blood from a stone has atrophied,...

Who The Giants Should Consider Hiring As Defensive Coordinator

After serving as the interim head coach of the Buffalo Bills, Perry Fewell was hired to be the defensive coordinator of the Giants in 2010.  In his first season with Big Blue, Fewell lead the Giants to the 7th ranked defense and was considered to be a hot head coaching candidate, but since then, the New York defense has been steadily declining.  Sure, the Giants would win the Super...

Kiko Alonso had 8 crunching tackles, a pass deflection and an interception in Buffalo's 27-20 loss to the Jets-Jets-Jets. He returned the pick 32 yards.
