NFL Trade Rumors:
Bills GM Buddy Nix discussed some of the areas on their roster where he would like to find some impact talent. One of these positions just happens to be an outside receiver to opposite of Stevie Johnson.
“I think Stevie’s a guy that you can play him in the slot or you can play him outside. But we need a big-time outside receiver,” said Nix, via the Buffalo News. “T.J. gives us a lot of that, but you still need to get another, bigger guy that can line up out there and catch the ball when he’s covered.“
Last year, the Bills committed $36.25 million to Johnson over the course of five years, but they should have at least $10 million to work with next season. The hard part will be keeping their interior o-line in place, while accomplishing their goal of adding a young quarterback and a solid outside receiver.
Both guards Andy Levitre and Kraig Urbik show up in our Top 50 Free Agents list, so there figures to be a lot of interest in either player should they become available.
BEST OF MAXIM
Buffalo Bills general manager Buddy Nix told WGR’s The Howard Simon Show that there’s a chance they’ll move up in next year’s draft to take a quarterback if the right one is there.
“Let me say this: I think there’s a time that in the era that you’re in and the development of your team, there’s a time when you can move up a round to take a quarterback,” Nix said...
It seems like it’s every week now that Bills GM Buddy Nix is discussing the possibility of drafting a new quarterback. That continued again on Friday as Nix went as far to say that he would even consider trading up for one in next year’s draft.
“Let me say this: I think there’s a time that in the era that you’re in and the development of your team, there’s a time when...
The Buffalo Bills were picked by many, including me, to make the playoffs this season. They have not lived up to that expectation.
As we get closer to the end of the season it's time to start looking ahead to the coaching changes for next year.
Here's a quick look at the teams I think will, or should, be looking for a coaching change when the season ends.
The Buffalo Bills are close to an agreement to continue their annual Toronto series beyond this season, but to make it successful they are drastically lowering the ticket price.
Per BuffaloNews.com… Read more, the average price for a ticket for Buffalo’s “home” game against the Seattle Seahawks on Dec. 16 in Toronto will be $99. That’s down from about $160 in 2008, when...
CALL TO ARMS
The Buffalo Bills may be in the market for a new quarterback. After going with Ryan Fitzpatrick for four seasons, they appear ready for a change.
If I’m Ryan Fitzpatrick, I wouldn’t be buying any property in Buffalo anytime soon.
Once looked at the future of the Bills, Fitzpatrick is now an after thought in the mind of Bills GM Buddy Nix.
In an interview with WGR, Nix was quite candid in his view of what direction the Bills should head in.
Another disappointing season has brought the Bills to the conclusion that...
When Buffalo selected Stephon Gilmore with their first round pick this year, I was not sure about the pick. But now that I look at the growth of the young corner I am impressed. It all started a few weeks ago when Buffalo played Larry Fitzgerald, and the Arizona Cardinals. Gilmore sent a text message to his coaching staff letting them know “I want #11″.
As a fan I was kind...
The Ryan Fitzpatrick experience is in year four in Buffalo and the best he has done until this point, is five wins. In order to understand the quarterback a little better, let's look at where he came from.Fitzpatrick was the 250th pick (seventh round), of the St. Louis Rams in the 2005 Draft. He started three games late in the season, after Rams starting quarterback, Jamie Martin...
(Eds: Updates. With AP Photos.) By JOHN WAWROW AP Sports Writer The only thing C.J. Spiller was running out of in Buffalo was the patience needed to answer the near-weekly round of questions of why he wasn't more involved in the Bills' offense.
''Pretty much, because, I don't know what else you all want me to say,'' Spiller said. ''I can only...
Recently, I agreed to do a Q&A with Joe Pinzone, who covers the Buffalo Bills and Sabres at his site, Buffalo Wins. Below you'll find his answers to my questions, and I'll update this article with a link to the responses I gave him once they go up on his site. Enjoy!
1) Statistically, C.J. Spiller and Fred Jackson have been one of the best running back tandems...

Buffalo has two divisional games against comparable teams, one in Miami, who they already beat, and one at home for the Jets, who they already lost to. I say they split those 2 and the Seattle game is the wild card one. The Seahawks have fallen flat in several games against...
The playoffs are no longer something for the Bills to aspire to this season. Much like the previous 11 years of playoff futility, this year was marred by questionable play calling, failures at certain positions and a lack for winning close contests.
Since any hope of the postseason has been extinguished, the focus of Bills fans now reverts to the NHL lockout and the NFL draft...
Seattle Seahawks (8-5) at Buffalo Bills (5-8)
The Seahawks have the biggest home/road disparity over the last few years. They are 23-43 ATS on the road and 46-20 ATS at home since 2005. This year, they are a perfect 6-0 ATS at home, including 3-0 SU as home dogs, but on the road they are 3-4 ATS. That might not sound bad, until we take a closer look. Two of those covers were in their...
Week 15 takes the NFL north of the border as the Seattle Seahawks and the Buffalo Bills meet in the Rogers Centre in Toronto, Ontario. Seattle comes into Sunday with a record of 8 and 5 and currently holds the fifth seed in the NFC playoff picture. Buffalo, on the other hand, sits at 5 and 8 and can play spoiler with a win on Sunday.
For Buffalo to have a chance, they will have to...
