Buffalo Bills running back Fred Jackson will be going into the final year of his current contract in 2012 and general manager Buddy Nix plans on making sure he gets an extension. “Fred and I have talked,” said Nix. “We want to extend Fred. I’d like for Fred to finish his career as a Bill. He’s meant a lot to us. I’ve got great respect for him. We do want Fred back and we do intend to try to work out a deal with him. I’ve told him that. What we said is what we’re going to do.” Nix would like to get a new deal done before the start of the 2012 season.  So far according to Jackson contract talks haven’t started yet. “Not yet, but it’s expected that we’ll get started at some point,” said Jackson. “I know they’ve got a lot of stuff to get squared away this offseason.” Jackson will be 31 years-old on February 20th, which is old for running backs.  But the good news is that he really just started getting the bulk of he carries just a few years ago.  I could see the Bills signing him ...
