Buffalo Bills running back Fred Jackson says he feels OK after returning to practice for the first time since spraining his right knee on Sept. 9
The next test, Jackson said Wednesday, is how his knee feels Thursday morning to determine how ready he might be to play against New England this weekend.
Jackson said he felt only a little pain after practicing on a limited basis. He experienced some difficulty while cutting on the turf, and also needs to become more comfortable wearing a brace.
He's been out since getting hurt in a season-opening 48-28 loss at the Jets.
Jackson is eager to return in part because the Bills are expected to be without running back C.J. Spiller, who hurt his left shoulder at Cleveland last weekend.
