Found July 23, 2013 on NFL Trade Rumors:
The Buffalo Bills announced the release DE Mark Anderson on Tuesday. Anderson will count $1.6 million against the team’s 2013 cap and another $3 million in 2014, according to Brian McIntyre.  Anderson, 30, signed a four-year deal worth $19.5 million, which also included $8 million guaranteed with the Bills back in 2012. He was coming off of a great season for the Patriots and Buffalo made a concerted effort to upgrade their pass rush last offseason. Anderson played 256 snaps last season, but was rated as a well below-average 4-3 defensive end by Pro Football Focus. The Bills will now move forward with Manny Lawson and Jerry Hughes as replacements to Anderson.     The post Bills Release DE Mark Anderson appeared first on NFL Trade Rumors -.

Bills release DE Mark Anderson

The Buffalo Bills have announced that they’ve released defensive end Mark Anderson after signing him to a nice four-year $19.5 million free agent contract in 2012. Anderson was signed just last offseason to a four-year contract as a free agent shortly after the team had inked Mario Williams to a blockbuster deal in March prior to the 2012 season. The pair were expected to provide...

2013 Buffalo Bills Roster Projection: Pre Training Camp Edition

Before the Buffalo Bills kick off their 2013 training camp, I thought we’d do a quick projection of what the final 53 man roster might look like. This is very speculative and meant to encourage discussion (EMBRACE DEBATE), so think of my picks below as a “jumping off” point. It will also be interesting to see how impressions/opinions about certain players change over the next...

Mark Anderson cut by Bills

The Buffalo Bills have cut former Patriot Mark Anderson, just one year after signing the defensive end to a four year, $19.5 million contract. Anderson was expected to team up with fellow free agent DE Mario Williams to form a fearsome pass rushing duo in Buffalo, but was a disappointment in his only season with the team. He appeared in just five games before undergoing season ending...

Fred Jackson and His New Role

Welcome to DJ’s Chalk Talk: Offseason Week Five! This week we take a look at Fred Jackson’s role in the Bills offense. With the emergence of C.J. Spiller last season, it look’s like Fred Jackson’s days as a starter in a Bills uniform are behind him. However, that doesn’t mean that he no longer brings value to this team. At the age of 32, Jackson has a relatively fresh pair...

Buffalo Bills Make Shocking Annoncement

Mark Anderson is back on the open market just a year after leveraging a strong double-digit season with the New England Patriots into a four-year, $19.5 million contract (with $8 million guaranteed) with the Buffalo Bills. [RELATED: New England Patriots No Longer AFC East Favorite?] Tuesday’s announcement comes as a slight surprise considering the club had such high hopes...

Buffalo Bills Part Ways with Mark Anderson has reported that the Buffalo Bills have parted ways with defensive end Mark Anderson following a dismal season that saw him sit out most of the season with a knee injury. Anderson was originally brought in with Mario Williams to bring a new level of pass rush to the Bills front line. While Williams season suffered from an injury itself he was able to manage 10...

Bills release Mark Anderson; place Chris Hairston on PUP list

The Buffalo Bills made a big roster move prior to the start of training camp, releasing veteran defensive end Mark Anderson after just one season with the team. Anderson, 30, played in just five games with the Bills last season, making one sack, before a knee injury caused him to miss the rest of the year. He revealed toward the end of the season that the injury was a torn lateral...

Bills Release Mark Anderson

The Buffalo Bills open up training camp at St. John Fisher College in four days. When they do, it will be without one of there free agent signings from 2012 as the team has released veteran defensive end Mark Anderson. Anderson signed a four year, $20-million contract with Buffalo in March of 2012, and played just five games in his first season before being shut down due to injury...

Jairus Byrd and ?: Breaking down the Buffalo Bills Defensive Backs

The Buffalo Bills should have signed Jairus Byrd to a long-term contract. There are only a few players to build the defense around are Mario Williams and Jairus Byrd. The Bills appears to have a decent core but many are coming off a sub-par year. The front seven struggled last year. Buffalo really needs Byrd’s play making ability. However since no long-term contract has been signed...

BuffalOkie Mondays: Stevie Johnson Continues to Be Underrated

In the day and age of social media, blogs, and roughly 5,000 sports networks on television, I’ve come to grips with the fact that I’m going to come across an opinion or two that I disagree with.  Most of the time I can at least see the writer’s angle, respectfully disagree, and move on down the road.  But when I saw that writer Chris Wesseling ranked Bills wide receiver...

Predicting the Media-Driven Storylines (That Haven’t Happened Yet)

Every summer there are storylines that emerge from Buffalo Bills training camp. Most of them are media-and-fan-driven rather than leaked by the coaches, which is natural since it’s not the coaches’ job to create fodder for writers. The interesting thing about these story lines is that they generally seem to be the same every year, just with different players filling the roles...

New-look Buffalo Bills seek to end losing ways

New general manager. New coach. New quarterback. These are certainly not the same old Buffalo Bills after newly promoted team president Russ Brandon delivered on his New Year's Day vow to transform a team whose relevancy he described as ''tarnished.'' The familiar question is whether this latest fresh start will work any better than the many that preceded it...

Happy Birthday to Stevie Johnson

I’ve grown up since then Juan… Stevie Johnson is quietly a sold fantasy receiver for the Buffalo Bills and should not be ignored by you in fantasy drafts. Although the QB situation in Buffalo isn’t ideal, he made it work with Ryan Fitzpatrick, yes, Ryan Fitzpatrick. Happy 27th Stevie. See more celebrity B-Days here.
