The Bills released veteran LB Kirk Morrison on Monday. The 30-year-old had not played in a game this season.
Morrison, who had more than 116 tackles in each season from 2005-09 with the Raiders, signed a contract last March to stay with the Bills. In 2011, he appeared in 14 games and made seven tackles, one sack and one pass defensed.
Morrison played in every game from 2005-10, missing only one start. In 2010, he started every game for Jacksonville and had 89 tackles.
The roster spot created by Morrisons release will presumably be used on an offensive lineman, as the Bills lost C Eric Wood to a knee injury. Source: ProFootball Weekly Attached Thumbnails

Jairus Byrd open to staying in Buffalo
Contract negotiations have begun with the Buffalo Bills and soon-to-be free agent safety Jairus Byrd, according to a report, but if you ask Byrd himself, he doesn't know what you're talking about. “I honestly don’t know,” Byrd said, via BuffaloBills.com.
Bills’ Ryan Fitzpatrick leads five consecutive scoring drives in win vs. Jags
Buffalo Bills WB Ryan Fitzpatrick kept the Bills very very slim playoff hopes alive, leading his team on five consecutive scoring drives to knock off the Jacksonville Jaguars 34-18.
While his numbers weren’t all that great, 9 for 17, 112 yards, 2 TDs and INT, they don’t quite tell the whole story. Sure it was against a struggling team like Jacksonville, but he persevered without...
Bills vs. Colts: The future of FitzGailey
What job is the most repetitive, boring, and mundane of all jobs? Well in my short time on this earth I haven’t had many, but I have watched enough Buffalo Bills football to notice that the rhetoric for writers and broadcasters covering the team hasn’t changed for over a decade. The job of a Bills reporter is walk into One Bills Drive and report to the masses the intense...
Fantasy Football News – Steve Johnson Leaves Game with Hamstring Injury
Fantasy Football News - Buffalo Bills wideout Steve Johnson has left the game due to a hamstring injury. His return is questionable.
FFLockerRoom Take - He has had a solid game, collecting a touchdown for fantasy football owners. Unfortunately the real NFL takes precedent and with the Bills sporting a nice lead it is very possible they decide to rest their young stud for the remainder...
5 Things I Billieve Following Buffalo’s 34-18 Victory Over the Jacksonville Jaguars
The Bills are doing just enough to keep it interesting for their fans. Playoffs are still a long shot, but as Lloyd Christmas would say, “So you’re saying there’s a chance?!”
Here are things I “Billieve” following Buffalo’s 34-18 victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars.
1. I may owe Dave Wannstedt an apology.
No one wanted Wannstedt fired more than me earlier this...
Bills take down Jaguars 34-18
Quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick directed five straight scoring drives in helping the Buffalo Bills keep alive their slim playoff hopes with a 34-18 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday.
Fitzpatrick threw two touchdown passes and scored on a 1-yard plunge in providing a spark to an injury-depleted offense that finished the game minus its top two receivers. Starter Stevie Johnson...
Bills C Eric Wood Has Torn MCL
Buffalo Bills center Eric Wood has suffered a partially-torn medial collateral ligament.
No surgery will be necessary to repair the damage, but Wood said he expected to miss the next two games. He sustained the injury during Sunday's 34-18 win over Jacksonville.
"Could be (back) as soon as two weeks, it could end the season...it's unbelievable," Wood said on...

Bills/Jags recap: 34-18
I have to admit, I had my mind already made up as to what I was going to write about today's game, win or lose. It was on my mind as I was going through Twitter at around 1130am. Anyone covering the game alluded to it.
In case you couldn't find an illegal feed, the Bills won, 34-18. I'm pretty sure more people watched this game illegally than those in attendance....

Bills Get Back On Track With 34-18 Win Over Jaguars
Despite only passing for 112 yards, Ryan Fitzpatrick did account for three touchdowns in leading the Buffalo Bills to a 34-18 victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Fitzpatrick threw touchdowns to Stevie Johnson and Scott Chandler to go along with a rushing score. He completed only 9-of-17 attempts.
The Buffalo tandem of Fred Jackson and C.J. Spiller combined to run for 186 yards...
Snoozing down the stretch
I have to admit, I have a serious writer's block when it comes to the Bills right now. I know what the angles are...should they lose out for a better draft pick? Does Sunday's win really mean anything? Should I just give up on the football team?
The angles are there, but I've gone through all of them in the two plus years I've been blogging. It is hard for me...
Stop It
(Author's note: I came up with the general theme and "Stop it." idea halfway through writing this. Hence why it seems a bit disorganized. Still in better shape than the Bills, I think.)
Hey everybody! Did you miss me?
*crickets*
Ok then. Well if anybody even knows/remembers who the hell I am, I have not written for Buffalo Wins for a long time because of...
