Lost in the shuffle following a record-breaking performance from Buffalo's porous defense on Sunday was another lackluster effort from Bills QB Ryan Fitzpatrick.
Fitzpatrick threw for just 126 yards in the 45-3 loss to San Francisco and continues to struggle with his accuracy.
After the game, coach Chan Gailey brushed aside a question regarding his QB.
We're just fine there, Gailey said. Don't go with an issue on that. That's not an issue.
In conference calls with members of the Buffalo media Monday, C Eric Wood stressed the team is still confident in their starting QB.
I've got a lot of confidence in Fitz, Wood said. He's played a lot of good football for us. We need to do more around him, put him in better positions. We can't get the pocket pushed in front of him to cloud his vision.

After ugly defeat, Bills insist they didn't quit
If there's a more deplorable word to be uttered in a professional locker room than "quit," good luck finding it. No athlete ever wants to give the impression that he quit in a game, and the Buffalo Bills were adamant that they did no such thing Sunday in their 45-3 loss to the San Francisco 49ers, but it was certainly hard to buy into their proclamations.
