As the 2013 NFL season unfolds, playing quarterback for the Buffalo Bills may prove to be one of the most hazardous jobs in the United States.
QB Kevin Kolb suffered various injuries during the preseason before being placed on the injured reserve list after suffering another concussion and just last week, rookie QB, E.J. Manuel, suffered a knee injury which will keep him out a few weeks. Now, as Mike Rodak of ESPN.com reports, Manuel’s replacement, Thad Lewis, suffers a foot injury in Sunday’s overtime loss to the Cincinnati Bengals.
Lewis suffered a right foot injury in Sunday’s overtime loss to the Bengals and was in a walking boot after the game.
Lewis told reporters after the game that the injury is “just a sprain,” adding, “they said the X-rays looked good. I should be fine. That’s a great sign.” Lewis was unaware when the injury occurred, stating, “I just got sore throughout the game.”
Lewis had a very fine day going 19-of-32 for 216 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions.
Lewis is set for a magnetic resonance imaging test on Monday so stay with me for updates throughout the week.
