It's official: Aaron Schobel's career with the Bills is finished. ESPN.com's Tim Graham reports that the team will formally release the OLB today and make him a free agent.
Schobel told the team a few months back that he would not return in 2010, but had second thoughts a few weeks ago and was reconsidering a comeback with the team. However, GM Buddy Nix made the decision to move on without him and placed Schobel on the reserve/did not report list.
Graham notes that Schobel could play closer to home with the Texans, but also reports that the Patriots may be one of the interested teams.
