Boomer Esiason has done little to hide his disdain for Tim Tebow. In fact, it was just a few weeks ago when the former Jets quarterback suggested the current Jets quarterback should be cut from the team.
Giving his latest two cents on the topic, the CBS analyst remains convinced Tebow has no business playing QB for Gang Green, saying he shouldn’t even be backing up starter Mark Sanchez.
“I don’t believe Tebow can be your everyday backup quarterback,” Esiason said Tuesday, via USA Today. “Sanchez is clearly your starter, and (Greg) McElroy will be the backup. Tebow can do his thing playing on special teams.”
Instead, Esiason proposed the Jets run a “special package” of plays in case Tebow ends up under center.
It’s no secret the much-ballyhooed signal-caller has experienced a shaky beginning to his career in New York. He’s been heckled by fans, chided by the media, and, in exhibition contests, done little to move the Jets’ stagnant offense. Esiason concedes that neither Sanchez...

The former Jets QB turned radio host has been highly critical of the current Jets QB, and on Thursday, the latter finally issued a response.
SportsCenter has thankfully dialed back their stalking of Tim Tebow and Jets camp in the past week. (Maybe Tebow finally got that restraining order filed?) But c'mon now, ESPN can't go cold turkey on dumb Tebow stories! As you’re no doubt aware, Tim Tebow was home-schooled in Florida, but lobbied lawmakers to allow him to play football with kids that attended public schools. The state legislature acceded, and Tebow went on to become a high school and college legend. Now, the legislature in South Carolina has done the same thing. The new [...]

Ugh. I’m utterly sick of seeing the New York Jets and Tim Tebow being covered far too much on ESPN, so I had to suck it up to throw together this piece. What a surprise, huh? Analyst and former NFL quarterback Tim Hasselbeck says Tim Tebow has made little improvement. As if Hassy has any room to talk, but I digress.
Reports out of Jets camp have said that Tebow has improved on...
New York Jets quarterback Tim Tebow told Boomer and Carton on WFAN The Fan in New York via SportsRadioInterviews.com that he felt like leading the Broncos to the playoffs last year validated him as an NFL quarterback.
“I don’t think it was just that moment,” said Tebow. “I think it was the six game winning streak, I think it was some of the come-from-behind wins, I think...
That ain't rain, it's a sploosh tsunami. The New York Jets are 0-2 in the 2012 NFL Preseason thus far, and quarterback Mark Sanchez is a combined 13/17 for 80 yards, 0 TD and 1 INT in those two games. At the same time, the Jets’ backup QB and fan favorite Tim Tebow is a combined 9/22 for 96 yards, 0 TD and 1 INT. Needless to say, this is not a good sign for the Jets. But...
