Linebackers coach Reggie Herring has a heck of a project on his hands with third-round pick Jason Williams, a workout warrior struggling with the mental adjustment required to leap from Western Illinois to the NFL. "So what he can run a 4.49?" Bradie James said, referring to Williams' 40 time. "If he doesn't know what he's doing, he'll run a 5.5." James is more than willing to Williams get up to speed, as long as the rookie is willing to work. "Jason Williams comes out here every day and wants to work," James said. "It makes it a little easier for me to talk to him. I definitely talk to him, but there's so much. "You can talk to him all day long. There are so many nuances you have to learn at inside linebacker, so he can be just reacting out there and not thinking. When there's something that he wants to know, I'm right there."
